I'm back after what feels like so long!  I've been poorly with the whole cough and cold situation that's been going around and I just couldn't find the energy to blog and take photos - I could barely keep my eyes open for Netflix! Anyway, a great post to come back and make me feel better is with is one filled with beautiful new makeup colours, like this collection of lipsticks and glosses from Tropic.  This is my first time trying the brand, so it's been really fun to experiment with the products.  Stay on until the end for all the lip swatches and a chance to win your favourite shades!

So the lipsticks are called Colour Click and there are seven different shades which I have here.  They have a creamy texture and moisturising formula containing camellia, jojoba, avocado and argan oils.  I've found nearly all of the shades super easy to wear as they have that creamy and comfortable formula, and are buildable in terms of their colour intensity.   These make quite a change from the onslaught of bold, matte liquid lipsticks that are around at the moment, and are a much softer, more casual, low-maintenance alternative.  My favourite shades are the paler colours, probably because I'm hankering for spring, and also because they're gorgeous, soft shades that are really easy to apply and wear.  In Bloom is the least pigmented shade of the bunch, but I really like how it gives a soft lift to the lips and a pinky nude sheen.  Peach Perfect and Sweet Pea are my other favourites - they have more colour payoff, but are still really easy to throw on and go.  By contrast, Poppy is a serious red - it's the most pigmented, and the formula is not like the others either, it's drier and less creamy, which actually helps with application, as with a formula too slippy on a red like this, I'd have it all over my face!  The other darker shades apply much more like the soft colours - they give a wash of colour which you can build as much as you like.

I've also been trying out three of the latest Lip Glaze shades.  These are coloured lip glosses which also have hydrating ingredients built in to nourish the lips - strawberry extract and mango seed butter.  The formula is quite thick and substantial, so you can build up the colour with these, although some shades are obviously going to give more intensity than others.  The finish is really shiny, not too sticky, and really quite long lasting for a gloss.  Pink Champagne is the most subtle shade, but it also contains a bit of a shimmer - you could pop this on top of one of the lipsticks to make it a little more intense.  Tutti Frutti and Raspberry Daiquiri are much more pigmented shades and I'd wear these alone.

The Colour Click lipsticks and Lip Glaze glosses are £14 each, or you can get the Lip Glaze as a set of three for £28.

Peach Perfect and In Bloom are my favourite of the lipstick shades and Tutti Frutti is my favourite Lip Glaze.  Which are your favourites and do you fancy winning them...?  Tropic are kindly hosting a giveaway for one of you guys to win your favourite Colour Click Lipstick and Lip Glaze shade, so get choosing and enter the giveaway below - good luck!
