We just loved this wedding, everything about it, but not least our fabulous Bride & Groom, the totally gorgeous Kate & James. It's a huge joy to be working with such lovely people, great families and so close to home too, the best bit of being at a St Annes Wedding is we get to see so many old friends and old FD Brides & Groom's too, what a fabulous day we all had!!! I've said this before and I'll say it again, a truly fabulous wedding day always starts with a fabulous Mood Board and Kate & James had produced a belter!!!

There was so much detail here, we adored their jewel colour palette and their taste in flowers; loose, relaxed, romantic and spontaneous...

Kate's wedding bouquet sample included Orchids, Roses, Astilbe, Eryngium, Calla Lilies, Hyacinth, Skimmia, Ivy Berries and lots more loveliness besides

Sample table designs included a plethora of golden vessels and candelabras

Sample Boutonnieres were kept small to suit the dinner jackets they'd be pinned to

Our small Baroque style Candelabras were just perfect surrounded by golden votives and posies of fresh flowers, each table would be unique with a different combination of designs

On Saturday the big day had finally arrived and our Olivia and I had the enormous pleasure of presenting our fabulous Bride and her beautiful Bridesmaids with their wedding bouquets...

I'd included a beautiful Rose from David Austin 'Kate' our Bride's namesake, she's such a vibrant and luscious Rose which worked perfectly alongside the Black Baccara and Amalia Roses we'd already chosen, I teamed that with some dark Calla Lilies,  Ranunculus in a deep Burgundy shade, fresh fragrant Jasmine, Hellebores, Lissianthus, Skimmia, Orchids, Astilbe, Muscari, Eucalyptus, Eryngium Thistles, trailing Amaranthus, Steel Berries, Anemones, Wax Flower Blossom and Ivy Berries, all in all a glorious collection of early Spring blooms, heavenly in fact!!!xxxx

I do love the big reveal...

The fab photographer on the day was Greg Milner, he was just fantastic and an absolute joy to work with, we can't wait to see his images

I showed everyone how to carry their bouquets perfectly

How completely gorgeous is this?

The Bridesmaids carried smaller versions of the Bridal Bouquet...

The glorious wedding bouquet was in jewel shades deep Amethyst Purples, Sapphire Blues, Ruby and Garnet Reds, Emerald Greens and Magenta Pinks I included a beautiful Rose from David Austin 'Kate' alongside Black Baccara and Amalia Roses, I teamed that with some dark Calla Lilies,  Ranunculus in a deep Burgundy shade, fresh fragrant Jasmine, Hellebores, Lissianthus, Skimmia, Orchids, Astilbe, Muscari, Eucalyptus, Eryngium Thistles, trailing Amaranthus, Steel Berries, Anemones, Wax Flower Blossom and Ivy Berries, we'd tied the bouquet up with navy blue ribbons

The gorgeous Bridesmaids were wearing navy blue gowns with claret shoes and wraps so their bouquets were a perfect combination of colours

Olivia and I headed off to Our Lady Star of the Sea to set up for the Ceremony, we had quite a tight window of time as the morning service didn't finish until 12:30 and the Groom's party would be arriving to have their boutonnieres attached at 1pm

At the foot of the aisle we'd arranged fresh Peach Blossom to mark the start of the asile

Pew end Posies of fresh Broom, Hyacinths, Orchids, Roses, Muscari and Ranunculus framed by fresh Berried Ivy dressed each alternate pew lining the aisle

We had just enough time to get the Boutonnieres lined up ready to pin them on to the Groom's Men as they arrived

The Bride Groom's rather special Boutonniere featured Rolled Black Baccara Rose Petals, Ranunculus, Skimmia, Viburnum Steel Berries, Eryngium and Eucalyptus, we'd bound the stem with gold bullion

The Groom's Mum's Corsage of Hellebores, Ranunuculus, Lissianthus, Albiflora and Eucalyptus was designed to compliment her purple and grey ensemble

Each Boutonniere was completely unique

A Boutonniere of Ranunculus, Lissianthus and Berries

A Boutonniere of Eryngium, Muscari, Lissianthus buds and a Ranuculus

The white Rose & Hydrangea Boutonnieres for the Grandma's

Our super handsome Bride Groom James was one of the first to get his Boutonniere pinned to his lapel

Olivia pinned on all of the boutonnieres ensuring each one was positioned perfectly

It's aways lovely to see our old Bride Grooms the lovely Paul who married Danielle last year (Link to their wedding)

The smaller size Boutonnieres were a perfect fit on the dinner suit lapels the Groom's Men were wearing

Lovely to see The Brothers of Swing maestro Joe who was also conducting the choir

The very gorgeous Groom's Mum Marian, her corsage of Hellebores and Ranunculus looked perfect on her purple and silver grey pashmena

Such a pleasure to see more old FD Bride's & Groom's...

Too cute for words!!!xx

Only three left to pin on

The Bridesmaid's had their hair flowers in place, they looked gorgeous too...

The super glam Bride's Mum, I'd pinned her corsage to her fir wrap but later attached it with a magnet to her jacket when we all got to the reception venue

Chloe had used Grey Albifloram White Lissianthus Buds and Hellebores in the Bride's Mum's Corsage

The Bridesmaids Jewel coloured Bouquets matched their hair flowers perfectly

Our stunning Bride looked radiant, she was wearing a divine gown by Jesus Peiro from the great folks at Lulu Brown

The bouquet looked truly ravishing and complimented her gown perfectly

The Choir were absolutely fabulous and we really enjoyed all of their songs

Huge Congratulations to Kate & James from all of the team here at Flower Design Events

The very lovely Paul & Danielle

You can't beat a bit of confetti!!xx

Directions from the Church to the Reception

The reception was held at St Annes Palace, which used to be St Annes Public Hall & Assembly Rooms and then became a concert hall and picture house before the Free Masons took it over and now its a fabulous multi purpose space licensed for weddings and parties, it's huge (with a great dance floor ) Pat was our contact and she did a wonderful job co-ordinating everything and really helped with the smooth running of the day.

Inside the great hall we'd dressed the space with lots of fresh blooms

Cascading designs of fresh Jasmine Broom, Proteas, Roses, Ivy and trailing Amaranthus sat on top of the cabinets lining one side of the hall

Our voluptuous designs were set on top of golden vessels surrounded by candlesticks and golden votives

Each table was dressed with a unique table design all illuminated with candlelight
