I thought for this Blog posting I should start from the very beginning, Rachel & Alex are super organised (probably mainly Rachel) and when I met them for the first time way back in 2014 Rachel had already prepared a 'booklet' for me with loads of seriously useful information, now this set the scene for Rachel's fastidiousness and her remarkable attention to detail, I have honestly loved working with her throughout our creative process, as truly, there's nothing better than a beautiful Bride who knows what she loves and if that love (besides Alex of course) is beautiful flowers then it was always going to be a wonderful day filled with love, glorious colour and sweet scented blooms....

Rachel & Alex subsequently prepared a beautiful Mood Board for us to work with, the shades were soft pastel with more than a nod to pinks and lemons

We talked through the mood board and made plans for Rachel & Alex to come back to FD HQ to see a set of sample designs

This beautifully colourful Bouquet was Rachel's sample design,  I'd included Peonies, Sweet Peas, English Garden Roses, Ranunculas and Daisies with lovely feathery grasses, herbs and foliages

A sample boutonniere created for Alex a paler shade of pink Rose was decided on to compliment the pink Rose on Rachel's gown (more of that later)

Sample table design suggestions were put together utilising the jars and vessels that Alex & Rachel had hand painted

For the taller table designs our Baroque Candelabras were the perfect choice and we arranged for these to be used on pedestals in Church first

Turn the clock forward now to the Thursday prior to their Wedding Day and the fresh flowers arrived in our studio, a glorious array of pastel loveliness

Viburnum Opulus and Memory Lane Roses

Stunning Forget Me Nots

Tana Daisies

Spirea Blossom

Pink Hydrangeas

The team were all hard at work creating some beautiful work, Ruby with Oncidium 'Bumble Bee' Orchids and yellow 'Buttercup' Ranunculas

Shirl was creating the Baroque Candelabras and Josie was making the Hair Flowers

Vicky was putting together the posies for the table designs

On the Big Day Ruby presented our Bride and her Bridesmaid's with their Wedding Bouquets

In the garden (a perfect setting) our beautiful (even in rollers) Bride Rachel and her maids learned how to carry their Bouquets perfectly

Then Ruby & Berto headed off to Our Lady & St Patrick's Church in Higher Walton to set the scene for the ceremony

Inside this magnificent Church the Pews were dressed with colourful fragrant posies and two of Candelabras stood on Pedestal stands framing the ceremony space

Posies of fresh flowers in jam jars decorated with lace hung from the pews

The Baroque Candelabras provided the perfect backdrop for the ceremony

The Boutonnieres were all lined up ready for Ruby to pin them on, they all featured a beautiful Sweet Avalanche Rose but the were all accessorised with a unique combination of additional blooms

Rachel's super handsome Bride Groom Alex was first to have his Boutonniere pinned to his lapel

The Boutonniere looked perfect with a Sweet Avalanche Rose, Sweet Peas, Forget Me Nots, Ranunculas and Viburnum Opulus all bound with lace and tied off with a pale lemon shoelace bow to match the lemon tie and pocket square

'Here come the girls' arriving in style in a lovely Malvern Cars vintage car

The Bride's Mum looked fabulous in her floral print suit, we decided on fresh flowers in her hair rather than on her floral jacket

The Bridesmaid's also were wearing fresh flowers in their hair

We loved their gorgeous pale lemon Bridesmaids Gowns, each Bouquet was created individually and had a unique collection of beautiful pastel blooms including Peonies, English Garden Roses, Sweet peas, Stocks, Oncidium Orchids, Viburnum Opulus, Daisies and Forget Me Nots

Our Beautiful Bride and her super proud dad were next to arrive...

Rachel looked truly breathtaking...

Beautiful Pastel Bridesmaids Bouquet

I just loved making this Bouquet, it's so light and airy, a heavenly collection of beautiful early summer blooms in a delicate array of pastel shades

The little Flower Girl carried a basket of fresh petals that she sprinkled on the aisle carpet ahead of our Bride and her Dad

Huge & Ginormous Congratulations to Rachel & Alex from all of the team here at FD Events

A Huge Basket of Fresh Rose Petal Confetti awaited the Bride & Groom's exit

The celebrations moved on to the historic and magical surroundings of Samlesbury Hall

Exquisite Pastel Bridal Bouquet

Inside the Great Hall all of Rachel & Alex's ideas and plans had come together and a truly magical atmosphere was created, everything looked just perfect, our Baroque Candelabras provided the tall Table designs whilst the jam jars so painstakingly painted by Rachel & Alex were filled with fresh flowers and surrounded Birdcages and candlelit votives

Clusters of hand painted jars and vessels each filled with a posy of fresh blooms were placed on small mirrors along the length of the top table

The Cake Table was just delicious

Our Baroque Candelabras were surrounded by posies of flowers and hand painted and decorated votives

Posies of fresh flowers in hand decorated vessels with a candlelit Bird cage providing the perfect table design

All of Rachel's details from seating plans to cakes were just beautiful, immaculately put together with lots care love and consideration

Thank you so much to Rachel & Alex from all of the team here, we loved working with you guys and wish you a happy and wonderful life together!!xxxx
