Generous in-deck storage, space for inshore casting, yet plenty of freeboard for offshore forays.

The 221 bay boat offers more tournament style features than previous Scout models. The boat is low profile and shallow draft, but can also handle some rough water with an 18 degree deadrise. Lighted bait and release wells are standard as are the lockable rod lockers. Casting decks fore and aft allow the boat to adapt to most fisheries. The extensive option list lets each angler customize his own boat to his (or her) own requirements.

Our test boat was powered by a 250 horsepower Yamaha and ran over 60 mph with a T-top. I’d be happy with the 50 mph performance of a 150 HP engine and a few extra dollars in my pocket. Expect to see this versatile boat on the flats, river and near shore in our Florida waters.
