Festival Contemporary Visions ArtCloud#2 at Multiverso. The Festival uses the language of the internet and is divided into 5 sessions called ArtCloud. This second session ArtCloud#2 will be inaugurated Friday, March 7, with a performance by the young Russian Mischa Badasyan, who will present for the first time in Italy his last performance SUPERNOVA, developed and produced in five months artist residency in his home country of Armenia.

Exhibition Pontormo and Rosso Fiorentino. Diverging Paths of Mannerism at Palazzo Strozzi until July 20, 2014. Pontormo and Rosso Fiorentino, the two painters who were the most original and unconventional adepts of the new way of interpreting art during the Italian Cinquecento, which Giorgio Vasari called the “modern manner”, celebrated in a major exhibition uniting for the first time masterpieces from Italy and abroad.

Extraordinary opening of the Grande Chiostro (Great Cloister) in Santa Maria Novella. Built in the fourteenth century thanks to the generosity of noble Florentine families, the cloister is decorated with a cycle of frescoes depicting the stories of San Domenico and other saints, painted between the 1570s and the 1590s by over fifteen different painters. Exhibition Folco Chiti Batelli. Signs of the soul and of the city at Museum of Palazzo Medici Riccardi until March 25, 2014. A selection of 100 works to rediscover the Florentine artist who died in 2011. Telephone booths, traffic lights, cars, trucks, billboards located next to sites of the city’s landscapes consist of the thematic repertoire with which the artist is confronted throughout life.
