Every week at Florence Inferno we list the events happening in Florence, in addition to an events guide with information on music, art, cinema, markets, and many other exciting things going on in the city.

This week we make special mention of the festivital of St. John the Baptist, the patron saint of Florence, on June 24. In honour of its patron saint, the city of Florence organizes a public celebration, which begins in the morning with a ceremonial procession during which people walk from Palazzo Vecchio through the city to offer large candies to their patron. This could also be an opportunity to visit the Baptistery of Florence dedicated to St. John the Baptist. Free admission.

Finally, in the evening, at 10 p.m., a great show with the massive fireworks display up on Piazzale Michelangelo.

Furthermore, we must also make a special mention of the Pitti Bimbo, with the important communication events, shows and cultural initiatives that accompany each edition. The runway shows, which launch new trends and offer invaluable ideas on styles and combining clothing and accessories, are attracting increasingly larger audiences. From June 26 until June 28. Special event: on the evening of Thursday, June 26, Monnalisa will present its latest collection to international buyers and press with a cocktail party in the Four Seasons Hotel in Florence.
