This week we make a special mention of two exhibition: Da Vinci Alive at Santo Stefano al Ponte, until November 2, 2015, a multisensory exhibition to celebrate Leonardo da Vinci’s discoveries and Dalì meets Dante at Galleria Delle Carrozze in Palazzo Medici Riccardi, until September 27, 2015, the fascination of Dante’s Comedy interpreted by the dreamlike atmospheres of Dalí’s painting work.
We also make a special mention of Fregio Robbiano at Ospedale del Ceppo in Pistoia [Outside Florence]. The Ospedale del Ceppo is a medieval ospital with architectural and artistic elements, among whitch the most significant is the Robbiano frieze. With a special scaffolding, designed alongside the restorers, you will see decorating masterpiece of Della Robbia brothers and Santi Buglioni, through an extraordinary Museum set up in height.

[Outside Florence] CortonAntiquaria at Cortona (Arezzo). Cortona celebrates the 53th edition of its antiques exhibition, the oldest in Italy. The exhibition will unfold throughout the halls of Palazzo Vagnotti, the eighteenth-century architectural jewel of Cortona. [Outside Florence] Medievalis at Pontremoli (Massa e Carrara). Every August for five days, August 19 until 23, the little town of Pontremoli hosts a medieval festival, Medievalis, an event that evokes the coming of the Emperor Frederick II (1626), who gave the town the privileges of a free city. There will be people wearing medieval costumes, knights, dancers, musicians, and so on.

Dalì meets Dante at Galleria Delle Carrozze in Palazzo Medici Riccardi. An exhibition of the Divine Comedy as illustrated by Dalí. Dalí illustrates Dante’s allegorical journey through Hell, Purgatory and Paradise, re-interpreting it with a psychoanalytical slant. Until September 27, 2015. Lapislazzuli. Magic of Blue at Museo degli Argenti. Exhibition dedicated to the lapislazzuli, the rock composed of several minerals and that gave its color to the surface of the Renaissance Madonnas. On its façade is a long frieze in tin-glazed maiolica from the Della Robbia workshop under the direction of Benedetto Buglioni and Giovanni della Robbia, carried out from 1515-25.
