Jeep is the Presenting Sponsor and exclusive automotive partner of the Rolling Stones ’14 On Fire’ European Tour, the series of concerts which will take the legendary British band all over Europe this summer. The first date with the group that revolutionised rock music on a global scale took place yesterday, May 26th, in Oslo at the Telenor Arena.

The sponsorship of the Rolling Stones’ European Tour puts side by side two icons: a legend of the automotive world and the true superstars of rock history. Both can lay claim to a history characterised by innovation coupled with an innate capacity to evolve and anticipate trends and public attitudes. When the first 4×4 Jeep model for civilian use, the CJ-2A, was produced in 1945, the American car manufacturer showed great attention to the mobility needs of customers and an ability to stay one step ahead of the market. Ever since then, Jeep has continued to offer the general public innovative products characterised by great personality, advanced technological contents and benchmark capability. In the same way, the Rolling Stones revolutionised the history of rock music, fusing rock and blues to create a musical genre of their own. For five decades they have stamped their own unique style on the global music scene with their ground breaking songs packed with references to the social context.

Jeep will play a key role at every date on the tour programme with a series of initiatives designed to familiarise the public and millions of Rolling Stones fans with the latest product introduction in its range of 4×4 models: strategically positioned in high-visibility, high-traffic zones, the customised Jeep areas inside the stadiums and tour venues will host the new generation of the mid-size SUV Jeep Cherokee, recently launched on the European market and updated in terms of exterior and interior design, on-road driving dynamics and handling, legendary 4X4 capabilities and technical features – thanks also to the introduction of the first nine-speed automatic transmission in its category – and now offering new levels of efficiency, entertainment, comfort and safety. Adverts for the Jeep range will also be displayed on giant LED screens behind the stage at every concert on the tour.

The flagship Jeep Grand Cherokee, the brand’s reference in terms of style, power, comfort and technological innovation, will be the ‘Official – 14 On Fire – Car’ for the entire duration of the tour, with a fleet of courtesy cars made available to the artists and the organisers.

Having kicked off with concerts in Asia and the Middle East, the ’14 On Fire’ Tour – The Rolling Stones – Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts & Ronnie Wood, will roll on throughout the summer, with dates in the major European capitals as follows:

1st June at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich, Switzerland; 4th June at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv, Israel; 7th June at the ‘Pink Pop Festival’ in Landgraaf, Holland; 10th June at the Waldbühne in Berlin, Germany; 13th June at the Stade de France in Paris, France; 16th June at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, Austria; 19th June at the Esprit Arena in Düsseldorf, Germany; 22nd June at Circo Massimo in Rome, Italy; 25th June at the Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain; 28th June at the Werchter Classic Festival in Werchter, Belgium; 1st July at the Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden and then the last  appearance on 3rd July at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark.
