Bridgestone Commercial has recently welcomed two new Fleet customers – Walker Vehicle Rentals and John Phillips Transport.

Walker Vehicle Rentals was established in 1991 with the aim of supplying a full range of commercial vehicles at competitive rates, supported by excellent service and customer support at all times. They are headquartered in Bluebell, Dublin and also have service depots in Cork, Limerick and Wexford.

As the Company grew in strength they merged with National Sweeper Sales & Plant and thus took on the municipal agencies of Scarab, Faun Municipal Vehicles, VDL Hook & Skip Lifts, Zoeller Lifts, Fuller Tankers and most recently, a  Fuso Truck dealership for the Cork area.

Conor Curran, National Fleet Executive, Bridgestone – Northern Region, says, “We tested our premium new and retread tyres in Walkers resulting in an improved performance benefit for the fleet. Our fleet auditors and main partners in Ireland and Northern Ireland are committed to continuing to provide the highest standard possible service to Walkers.”

John Phillips Transport is a family-run haulage business run by brothers, Niall and Louis Phillips and is based in Newtown, Celbridge, Co. Kildare. They specialise in timber and bulk deliveries. Conor says, “We’re delighted to be in partnership with this high profile local business. Their modern fleet of tractor units and trailers are serviced by local Truck Point partners and exclusively use Bridgestone’s new Regional products.”
