How are we all doing today!? Hopefully off work, just a little bit full from delicious food, and planning to hang out with family and friends all day. That’s my plan!

Do you do Black Friday? I NEVER have and quite honestly it sounds miserable to me….not to mention that I am not at all organized enough on Christmas gifts to know what to buy at this point. But I think I should do it at least once for the experience!

Five Things I Ate:

Freshly ground almond butter. Bought some at Lucky’s (it’s their cheapest almond butter!!) and have been eating it by the spoonful.

My fav oregano chicken — just slice the chicken into thin strips and pan fry in olive oil, topping each side with salt, pepper, and tons of oregano. It is just SO simple and SO good.

Knock off swedish fish. I was getting sleepy on my drive home and needed sugar. It worked!

Awesome rosemary spiced nuts that my aunt and uncle brought from Minnesota. Addicting.

THANKSGIVING DINNER! Unfortunately I had to skip my fav – stuffing – due to stomach issues. But I had turkey, orange balsamic sweet potatoes, green beans, brussel sprouts, brandied cranberries, ambrosia salad, and some pecan pie filling. MMMM!!!!

(x lots more, duh)

Five Workouts:

Mon: Yoga

Tues: Hill sprints + legs

Wed: YOGA

Thurs: Trying insanity + Piyo with my harp teacher!!! She teaches at a YMCA in St. Louis and I always try to go to her classes when I’m home. We usually get a bunch of old friends I used to play music with and it’s a total blast. I loved Insanity….so so on Piyo, but it was a good stretch!

Fri: No plans.

Five Things Making Me Happy:

Being home for Thanksgiving! Getting to GO home makes it even more special, and time with family and friends is so amazing.

Having two little twin baby boys over on Thanksgiving! I adore kids and got to bounce and hold and feed and read and sing and play. They are so adorable. Makes me want to be a pediatrician.

My good friends doing amazing things for St. Louis.  I love the #STLTogether project they started all about random acts of kindness. It makes me so proud that my friends have such big hearts.  (Check out #STLTogether on Instagram.)

My haircut! Oh man, my hair was LONG and getting so thick and shedding so badly. I love how thin and light it is now! Loved the new girl I went to, and it was pretty cheap! All great things.

A high school reunion! It’s not a formal one, but the girls in my class are pretty close and we always try to get together over Thanksgiving. Almost forty of us are hanging out on Saturday night!!

Your turn – what’s making you happy this week?
