Dhaka: Showing Indian movie ‘Wanted’ in the Bangladesh theatres has been cancelled on Saturday in the wake of protest by the Bangladesh film industry members.
The cancellation comes a day after releasing the film in different cinema halls in Bangladesh.
The exhibition of the movie has been cancelled in Purnima, Shamoli and Ananda cinema halls in Dhaka.
Cinema halls’ owners took the decision after Bangladesh Cholochitro Oikkoyjot staged stay-in programme in front of the cinema halls.
Bangladesh Cholochitro Oikkoyjot and some other groups have been protesting the exhibition of subcontinental movies for the last few days.
