The Party!
The biggest Firestorm Halloween celebration to date will be this Saturday Oct 31st with live performances from Seth Regan (Mankind Tracer) @ 1PM, Nance Brody @ 2PM and Changhigh Trinity Sisters Fireshow @ 3PM. Then at 4pm DJQuad spins tunes and we open the massive month-long Halloween hunt with amazing content from over 150 well-known Second Life merchants.

The Community Gateway
Although they haven’t formally announced it yet, Linden Lab is bringing back the Community Gateway program where SL communities participate in attracting and signing up new users into Second Life. We have been chosen as one of the communities, and we’re doing it the typical “GO BIG” Firestorm way. We have six regions for this gateway, five built and designed exclusively by the brilliant Daddio Dow with contributions from Yony Bing for custom sim surrounds, Namuri, who designed the lovely rivers, Mitsuko Kytori, who donated most of the breathtaking trees and vegetation, Raven Seraph who created an amazing custom Phoenix avatar for our management accounts, and finally Whirly Fizzle and Jessica Lyon for donating the monies to purchase everything else.
There is a diverse variety of immersive experiences to explore and learn from, like an airport with flyable aircraft and sky diving. A mystical enchanted Dow Forest, abandoned marinas with driveable boats, a post apocalyptic city, a sandbox to learn building, a classroom for basic classes, an amphitheater/dance area for events, an incredible underwater world to explore and most importantly, a social area with wonderful free gifts to get new residents started on their way.
We are launching the gateway with a month-long Spooky Nights Hunt organized by the Huntress Spooky Mistwallow purposed to create awareness of the gateway regions and what they offer by encouraging existing users to explore. Ultimately we hope to attract volunteers and resources to help us manage them moving forward. We need knowledgeable, helpful friendly people to spend time helping new residents coming into SL. We also need content creators to donate high-quality, free items for them. If you are interested in helping, please contact the following people with a notecard:

The MadPea Connection!
We are super excited to announce that we’ve formed a mutually beneficial partnership with MadPea Productions! Essentially MadPea will install some of their older games as free play in our environments, and in exchange new residents will learn about MadPea Games to become potential new customers. MadPea will also then be able to send their new users to our installations to learn how to play MadPea games. Being able to bring this level of fun learning interactivity to the new user experience is just a massively huge deal for the success of this gateway, and we are so excited to have MadPea on board!
