MONTANDON รข€” A 93-year-old patient and two ambulance workers were treated for minor injuries on Saturday after a tire blew on the ambulance in which they were riding and the vehicle went off Route 45 and sheared a pole, state police at Milton reported.Police said the crash occurred at 1:30 p.m. on Main Street in Montandon, West Chillisquaque Township.Donald C. Long, 53, Bloomsburg, was driving the 1998 Ford Ambulance ALS west when the left front tire exploded, police said. Long lost control of the vehicle and it crossed the eastbound lane, left the south side of the road and struck a utility pole, shearing it off, 115 feet west of Atlantic Avenue.The ambulance was transporting Lucille P. Appleman, 93, of Turbotville, to Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, from Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, at the time. She, Long and ambulance crew member Bobby L.
