Hey there, New to the forum as well as a rookie mechanic /: regardless i figured i would see if anyone could help me out with this problem. I own a 93 600f2, its not in spectacular condition but I've definetly seen worse.

I bought the bike from a friend (After sitting for months and poorly maintained by previous owners) rode it all of twice for -30 minutes. (ran fine). One day i go to start it and she turns but doesn't wanna fire. I try for a few mins, battery's getting low, bikes getting flooded. No go.

I let the bike sit for a few days n try it (after charging via jumpers, due to lack of garage + tools.) Still nothing, bike seems flooded probably bad plugs from being old n poorly maintained. Let er sit a few more n happen to get it started after repeating previous.

Okay so bikes finally running, awesome. I ride it, seems fine (didn't get on throttle at all though) I ride it to a buddy garage so i can check the plugs. Pull plastic, tank, air box plugs. They don't seem horrible (a later check shows that gapping was of on multiple plugs) but definetly a little gassy.

I leave er over night, my buddy n his dad (mechanic) pull carbs and look at the .... This is where i have no knowledge. All the (...) seemed even. Same amount of gas should be getting realesed. So this didn't explain the fouling. I end up having to get it out of the current location, so clean plugs up, put em in. Air box, tank, etc etc. No gas so my buddys dad (dumbass) puts a small amount of unleaded in it. Bike won't start, try for a few days, nothin.

So i walk it to my house, let it sit for around a week. Put premium in, put it on the jumpers again and let it get a charge for a while. I try for a while, finally get it it started, ride it for 10-15 mins. I have to work so i ride there, after work, cold won't start batter dies.

Next day get it running, ride it to my uncles whose a mechanic. (before i stop i decide to ride it and use all the gas up to make sure the mix is out) On the ride i notice it sounds off and doesnt hit right when i give it gas or have any power. Riding it i also noticed that it would start to bog or lose gas when the gas was on, switched it to reserve and it started again.

Take it to uncs, take it apart, check plugs. Every other one is fouled out so #1 and #3 get 4 New plugs gap em to the right measurement. Put em in, bike starts right up, still running the same though?? So pull carbs again checked the 2 worst ones (didn't check carbs first time they were pulled) blew the needles out, definetly some gunk. Hope than fixes it. Put er back together and same problem...this is where we get stumped..

Sorry if this was dragged on a bit but i wanted to be as detailed as possible with what little knowledge i did have. Thanks for any help i can get!!
