Craft Sports are set to be far more widely distributed in the UK. I have been testing a few items including the Craft Velo Bib Shorts and the Classic jersey.

Craft Classic Jersey

The first thing that I notice is how super soft and light the fabric feels. It is really lovely against the skin when I put the top on, too.

The small size is fairly generous for me (I am a UK10) but not overly so. What I mean is, it fits nicely and is not too tight. (Some other brands seem to make cycle tops that are a little too tight). I guess it depends on the look you are hoping for but if you have a few mini bulges you would prefer to hide then this jersey is very flattering.

The top is an over-the-head design with a long neck zip. I quite like this for a change. Most of my other cycle jerseys have full zips.

The style is good, too. A plain black main body with contrasting pink tone sleeves. (They call the pink “smoothie”.) There is a matching pink zip as well. If you don’t like pink there are other colours.

The sleeves are generously long. For me, they are too long but if you want to shield your bare arms from more of the sun then they are a great idea. I just prefer a shorter sleeve.

The wide hem incorporated into the sleeve hems is really comfortable.

The back pocket is wide and zipped. Inside are two compartments for stowing all your bike bits and pieces, such as spare inner tube. I quite like this set up although it’s not so easy to access what is inside the large pocket once the jersey is on. The zip top makes access tricky.

There is an effective silicon back hem to keep the jersey in place on your lower back.

The cycling jersey is ideal for warm days or cycling holidays abroad. It feels light and easy to wear and it quickly dries when you sweat. It also looks good, has a flattering fit and style although I am not so keen on the long “short” sleeves.

I have had trouble finding it for sale in British pounds but you can buy from Europe for around €60. See Bruegelmann. I am told that this jersey will be for sale later this year on  Craft Sports UK.
