Gold for Jack Henry in the Golden State

California-based SCE Federal Credit Union has chosen Jack Henry and its Symitar subsidiary’s Ease as an outsourced delivery model of the Episys core processing platform.

SCE FCU, a $650 million-asset institution, chose outsourcing to give it “all of the benefits of Episys while alleviating the need to manage on-premise systems or hardware updates”.

Dan Rader, president and CEO of SCE Federal Credit Union, says it expects to “see efficiency gains as well as a streamlined approach” to its business.

The credit union will also implement Advanced Reporting for Credit Unions (ARCU) for reports and analytics; Episys Data Store for analysis and reporting of business processes; and Synapsys Member Relationship Management for organisation and tracking of member contacts.

Summertime news

US-based banking software heavyweight Jack Henry had plenty of deals and news to share in 2016.

Late last year, Oklahoma-based Mabrey Bank migrated its IT infrastructure and core processing to an outsourced delivery model.

While in the summer of ’16, Jack Henry launched JHA Marketplace for shared core customisation; and converted Georgia-based Bank of Newington and Wisconsin-based Cleveland State Bank to its Windows-based Core Director platform.
