Record Management Specialist required for an initial 3 month contract with a government agency based in Sydney.
You will:
Establish and maintain the departments records management program.
Determine strategies for the storage of records and their protection from harm or deterioration into the future.
Develop and maintain recordkeeping procedures and standards to ensure effective operation and delivery of services and projects.
Determine and establish the rules for access and use of records, including classifications and procedures for managing access over time.
Responsible for ITIL Configuration and Asset Management functions within the Information Technology department.
Skills required:
Strong knowledge of the obligations and statutory responsibilities of the State Records Act (NSW) and the Australian Standard AS ISO 15489 (Records Management)
Extensive experience in the management of records and maintaining an electronic based records management system (TRIM Context).
Tertiary qualifications in Records Management or demonstrated, equivalent professional experience and training.
Experience in the implementation of classification schemes and retention and disposal authorities.
Experience in the education of users in the records system and their recordkeeping responsibilities.
Experience managing relationships with vendors ensuring projects are completed within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Project, prioritisation and time management skills with the ability to manage diverse concurrent activities and meet deadlines.
High level oral and written communication, interpersonal, consultation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
