Provide technical assistance and oversee project Management Information Systems (MIS);

Description:
Under the leadership of the Associate Director, Health Systems and Policy, the STO Health Services is responsible for directing the health care delivery services of CB-HIPP to ensure implementation of high quality care, treatment and support services with a primary focus on clinical health and HIV/AIDS services for key and vulnerable populations including migrants along major transport corridors in the ECSA region; and in particular cross-border areas.

Plan, direct, and/or coordinate integrated HIV/AIDS and health services provided through collaborating health facilities, partners and community-based organizations in alignment with the EAC recommended minimum package of care;

Lead the relevant technical staff to adapt and/or review and disseminate guidelines, tools, procedures and recommendations that will support the achievement of quality integrated HIV/AIDS and health programming in project sites working closely with EAC and Partner States experts;

Lead technical assistance to implement the cascade of care for key and vulnerable populations at project sites;

Provide technical assistance in regard to HIV/AIDS care and treatment and support capacity building in the public and private service delivery sector;

Foster an environment that promotes Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement and responsible for removing barriers to achieving quality in clinical care;

Remain informed on current programs in HIV and AIDS care and support and related health and development issues by liaising with the project teams, technical experts and reviewing current literature on medicine, technology, government regulations, health financing options, etc. and keeping abreast with any implication of such experience and research for program activities;

Consult with technical experts, private sector, target populations and government and intergovernmental groups to discuss service challenges, respond to target population needs, enhance learning, coordinate activities and plans, and promote integrated health programs;

Represent the project at technical forums as directed by the Chief of Party;

Description:
The Senior Technical Officer (STO), Strategic Information (SI) and Research will be a member of the Research and Learning team.
He/she will contribute to testing and evaluating regional and local solutions to health systems and community barriers impeding the provision of quality services to key and vulnerable populations including migrants along major transport corridors in the ECSA region; and in particular cross-border areas.
He/she will support implementation of the research agenda including the design and implementation of special studies and operationalization of a comprehensive M&E plan focusing specifically on systems for collecting data to measure project implementation, effectiveness, quality assurance, documentation and reporting.
The position holder will support implementation of strategic information activities in accordance with guidelines stipulated by USAID and national regulations of countries where CB-HIPP will have interventions.
The STO SI and Research will in liaison with other R&L team members regularly update project management on progress towards implementation of the work plan, and design methods to demonstrate program outcomes and impact.
The incumbent will generate accurate data analyses and reports to inform program design, implementation and evaluation; regional and national policy, and respond to the project reporting requirements.
Job Summary / Responsibilities:
Research responsibilities

Support generation of information for the project’s ‘Learning Laboratory’, designing and implementing mechanisms for continuous learning;

Participate in efforts to identify key research questions and develop research studies related to addressing health outcome barriers for target populations at community, national and regional levels, spanning a range of issues such as quality service provision, demand generation, health financing and policy harmonization;

Participate in defining designs and methods for testing of a minimum package of service tailored to the needs and contexts of key and vulnerable populations, migrants and cross-border communities, sustainable models for health financing, and networking and financing health facilities along transport corridors;

Contribute to ensuring all research and evaluation conducted under the project include a gender focus that promotes gender equitable programming;

Support production of research and use of existing research findings and data to inform efforts in regional transport corridor programming;

Ensure research implementation adheres to country, FHI 360 and funder policies and standard operating procedures and remains technically and ethically sound.Monitoring and Evaluation responsibilities:

Description:
To provide driving and messenger services to the Nutrition and Health Program Plus (NHPplus) Kenya based in the Nairobi office.
Maintain the project vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition, perform minor preventive maintenance and safety checks on a daily basis and inform the supervisor of discrepancies.
Job Summary / Responsibilities:

Drive project staff and visitors to meetings and appointments with due caution and courtesy as assigned by the supervisor.

Maintains project vehicle in good condition, including cleaning inside and outside of the vehicle and engine check-up, fluid levels and the tires which are to be conducted on a daily basis.

Maintains a current driving license for self and advise the Administrative Officer when the project vehicle licenses are due for renewal, appropriate inspections and registrations for vehicles.

Runs office errands such as message/equipment deliveries, visa applications, picking-up and collecting mail from post office and other errands as assigned by the supervisor.

Description:
The Technical Advisor – Youth Development will have responsibilities for the design, implementation and technical quality of strategies and activities that promote youth development, and youth engagement, particularly focusing on girls and young women, and marginalized populations.
This position will work collaboratively with other staff and key stakeholders to ensure project objectives are being met.

7. Chief of Party/Project Director
Job Locations: Nakuru
Description:
The Chief of Party will be responsible for providing overall technical and programmatic leadership to an anticipated cross-sectoral project that will strengthen the ability of Kenyan youth to contribute to the country’s social, political, and economic development.
The project will strengthen youth participation and representation, youth livelihoods and economic opportunities, and access to youth-friendly services.
The Chief of Party will be responsible for technical quality of program approaches, coordinating partner roles and setting performance expectations, and ensuring program deliverables and milestones are met.
This position requires a strong cross-disciplinary understanding of market systems and holistic youth development approaches, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse set of actors.
