Our methodology
To create our ranking, Finder.com used the top 100 high schools, middle schools and elementary schools in New York State as ranked by Niche, and the median home sale values of each city in each list as of June 2015 sourced from CoreLogic, and ranked them in ascending order by lowest price. The Niche School Rank and median home price rank were then combined to produce the Finder.com Score for each school. The higher the Finder.com score, the better value represented by the school and area combination. We then ranked the results in descending order by the highest Finder.com Score. Finder.com Rankings were tied if two schools had the same Finder.com Score.
We’ve listed each group of schools in a table. Click on any of the table headings to sort or filter.
