Stanton L. Young was quite smiles as he watched Dr. Kennon Garrett, University of Oklahoma College of Medicine co-aid professor of physiology, receive the 2014 Master Teacher Award up~ April 2. Young established the assignment 31 years ago to encourage physicians and researchers in the guild to become great teachers.

A $15,000 honorarium and Steuben crystal owl statuary come with the award.

Garrett was presented the grant by M. Dewayne Andrews, senior wickedness president and provost for the OU Health Sciences Center and executory dean of the College of Medicine. Selection is made ~ dint of. a committee of medical students, physicians and researchers.

“Students consider described Garrett as the cornerstone of the preclinical curriculum during the first two years of medical school,” Andrews said.

Mark Twain comedy
