One of our long term client’s is currently seeking a full-time Lead Captain to manage both a Global Express and Challenger 604 aircraft. The individual will be responsible for piloting the Global Express, leading the team assigned to the client’s aircraft operation while also managing the expectations of the client who resides and has business interests in multiple locations around the world. They will also continuously liaise with Skyservice to ensure client expectations are continuously being met.

REPORTS TO: Chief Pilot

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

To ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of all passengers on board from take-off to landing:

•The Pilot-In-Command (PIC) will have final authority for the disposition of the aircraft during the time in which he/she is in command; and
•Any other duties as assigned in accordance with the Company Operations Manual.

To ensure successful completion of all required aircraft maintenance:

•Conduct and oversee pre-flight checks to ensure that the aircrafts are operational at all times when assigned on a flight trip;
•Liaise with the assigned maintenance engineer to ensure regular maintenance is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and coordinated with flight schedule;
•Provide the assigned aircraft maintenance engineer and the assigned flight coordinator with recommendations to improve client comfort; and
•Responsible for ensuring that the aircrafts are always maintained in a suitable hangar.

To ensure the delivery of exceptional flight services to the client:

•Coordinate all aspects of the aircraft operation to ensure client satisfaction;
•Ensure flight crew are providing pre-flight safety briefings prior to departure that include information unique to the flight;
•Determine flight paths and schedules together with the assigned flight coordinator that will provide the most client comfort and least amount of travel time;
•Advise clients of weather, points of interest in flight and at their destination as well as of special considerations when travelling to certain locations;
•Maintain a high level standard in the interior cabin of both aircrafts; and
•Ensure the client is provided with a variety of entertainment sources while travelling on board the aircraft.

To continuously monitor the client’s aircraft operating budget:

•Review monthly accounts;
•Responsible for approving and submitting all expenses related to the team assigned to the client’s aircraft operations;
•Develop methods to control cost on a monthly basis (i.e. loyalty programs); and
•Approving Charter requests for the aircrafts on behalf of the client.

To lead the team assigned to the client’s aircraft operations:

•Directs the day-to-day activities, ensuring compliance and managing performance to expectations;
•Manage the scheduling of team members (flight crew, assigned aircraft maintenance engineer, and assigned flight coordinator) and ensure appropriate coverage at all times. In the event coverage is required work with the Chief Pilot to determine the appropriate coverage; and
•Arrange and oversee flight crew travel and accommodations in collaboration with the assigned flight coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

•Valid airline Transport Pilot Certificate;
•Military background considered an asset;
•10000 hours total flying time;
•5000 hours multi-engine jet PIC;
•Strong leadership skills;
•Customer service-oriented;
•Exceptionally detail oriented;
•Flexible to accommodate client travel pattern and needs; and
•Ability to work under pressure.
