FIXR, the UK mobile application ticketing business, raises expansion capital with The FSE Group as cornerstone investor.

FIXR – the free mobile ticketing platform – reinventing the nightlife and events experience, has raised significant expansion capital from The FSE Group, FSE’s Angel Club and other investors. The fundraising represents FIXR’s third successful funding round.

Having launched in London in October 2013, FIXR has worked with major international brands including Ministry of Sound, GetTaxi and LG Corporation.  It’s now operational in 4 cities and plans to roll-out its service across the UK.  With this funding round, FIXR plans to expand its team and introduce all-new functionality and features.

Principally focused on nightclubs and events, FIXR is revolutionising ticketing and entry by allowing customers to buy tickets directly on their smartphones, both in advance and last-minute.

This free smartphone app means customers can avoid queues, the need for cash on the door and paper or printed tickets.  It‘s for the tech-savvy, on-demand generation, who regularly pay through their smartphones and want to access nightlife and events quickly, wherever they are.

FIXR’s Entry Manager App means event organisers can see ticket sale updates in real-time, scan tickets on customers’ phones and manage capacity more easily.  It’s a dynamic, end-to-end ticketing solution, providing a digital record and making paper lists a thing of the past.

FIXR know that people planning a night out want choice, speed and certainty. FIXR quickly shows what’s going on and how to be a part of it, helping avoid queues, wasted trips and the dreaded “one-in-one-out”.

FIXR is the brainchild of Nick Stone and Edmund Glover, who saw opportunity in the huge disconnect between nightlife, events and mobile technology.  They quickly formed a wider team, including CTO Dom Marmont, Hugh Hudleston, an adviser to high growth technology businesses and nightlife promoter Henry Conway.

Nick Stone, CEO and co-founder of FIXR said: “This is a major step forward for our company and we are delighted to be working with FSE, who share our vision and understand the scale of the opportunity around nightlife and events. With this funding round we can implement a host of exciting new features for both consumers and event organisers and deliver a cutting-edge product which we hope will revolutionise how people plan, organise and run their nightlife.”

Edmund Glover, Director and co-founder of FIXR said: “This funding round is transformational for FIXR.  It allows us to take an already proven product and take it to the next level, installing FIXR as an essential feature of peoples’ social lives.”

Avent Bezuidenhoudt, Senior Fund Manager of FSE Group said: “We are delighted to lead this round of funding and announce that FIXR are the first company to benefit from our Coast to Capital Growth Equity Fund. With a portfolio of nightclubs including Ministry of Sound, Egg, Lightbox and Mode, as well as partnerships with global blue-chip companies such as LG Corporation, we firmly believe that FIXR has a great future. We wish them all the best and we look forward to watching the business develop.”

Simon Labahn, Fund Executive of FSE Group said: “The impressive list of clubs already on offer; a well-functioning app, complemented by a thoughtful design and an app which is solving a real-world problem for both event organisers and their end users, really attracted us to FIXR. We are excited with the pipeline of developments the application has in store.”
