==Protagonists==

===Weslei Vetmos===

*Bio: A 15 year old novice swordsman travelling the world searching for his father's supposed killer. Very shy and withdrawn, and talks very little while in groups.

*Gameplay: Weslei is the weaponry expert of the party. Starting off as a little more than a blank slate, he can eventually become proficient in several different types of weaponry and be able to deal with a variety of different enemies. His spell-casting is less than stellar, and is restricted to wind and holy spells.

*Weapon Affinity: Swords, Greatswords, Hammers, Daggers, Whipswords, Rods, Staves, Axes, Guns, Shields, Gauntlets, Light Armour

===Sophia Antolis===

*Bio: A 18 year old blacksmith's daughter. Social and upbeat, she sometimes wishes she could see the world beyond her city.

*Gameplay: She can use daggers for speedy attacks, and hammers for raw damage. Can only learn fire spells. Her Smithing Arts allow her to modify her equipped weapon, allowing her to change its element property or shift its damage/hit ratio. Her passive attunment with arms also grants a small passive bonus to her allies: weapons with random chance effects activate slightly more.

*Affinity: Hammers, Daggers, Gauntlets, Light Armour

===Cinis Vas===

*Bio: The 25 year old rogue alchemist. Carrying a weapon of immense dark power, he searches for a way to further harness it. He is very protective of those around him. His personality has shades of apathy, and he tends to throw around questions when frustrated.

*Gameplay: Cinis is below-average physically, but an extremely high magical affinity. He starts with a large pool of basic-level spells and slowly learns most of their advanced versions. He also has darkness based abilities which he loses after the starting area.

*Affinity: Whipswords, Swords, Rods, Symbols, Robes

===Isaac Protix===

*Bio: A 21 year old gunslinger who has killed off his emotions. He only helps the party when it is convenient for him, preferring to hunt down powerful opponents to fight by himself. Hates his name. Most people he meets hate him, something which is almost always mutual.

*Gameplay: Incredibly fast. Although he has less durability than Weslei and Sophia, he is more powerful than them, preferring to just aggro his opponents down. He can use his mysterious power to spend MP to summon more powerful guns to attack with, and when in a pinch his health can be substituted instead.

*Affinity: Guns, Light Armour, Robes

===Gauche Nightsun===

*Bio: A trusting and helpful 22 year old assassin who decides to assist Frodira on a whim. He is willing to put his life on the line to protect his friends, is extremely gullible, not very good at planning things out, and adverse to killing; traits which would make for a poor mercenary, where it not for his quick thinking during combat and his natural talent to get along with anyone he meets.

*Gameplay: Fast and agile, though he does less damage than the other characters. He specialises in duel-wielding, which makes him great for applying weapon status effects. He learns Subdual Arts, which focus on abilities that can take the opponent out as quickly as possible, such as turning them to stone or parylizing their body.

*Affinity: Daggers, Guns, Light Armour

===Frodira Saku===

*Bio: A 17 year old ninja. Always able to look on the bright side of things, she is constantly trying to track down her sadist twin sister to stop her from hurting people.

*Gameplay: Frodira is able to dodge most enemy attacks, and her weapons have a high rate of hitting. She is able to use Throw to permanently destroy a weapon or item in order to damage the opponent, with shurikens doing the most damage. She can use Steal on enemies to gain extra items, which is a good way to restock Thrown weapons. Like Neydro, all of her spells are related to water and ice, but can also concentrate on darkness and healing.

*Affinity: Shurikens, Daggers, Light Armour

===Neydro Caim===

*Bio: A 27 year old gladiator well known in Cerulean as The Mist Lord. He specialises in a greatsword that can split into two longswords. He fights in the arena in order to raise money for his debt-ridden uncle.

*Gameplay: Neydro is the party tank, being the character with the highest defence and stamina. He is able to deal heavy amounts of damage with his powerful blows and flashy special techniques. He is able to cast basic ice and water spells for when his blade fails, though they're good for little else.

*Affinity: Greatswords, Swords, Axes, Gauntlets, Shields, Light Armour, Heavy Armour

*Gladiator Arts:

**'''Mist Scythe:''' 12 MP; Neydro crushes the opponent by striking his sword down two-handed. Lowers their defense.

**'''Mist Block:''' 20 MP; Neydro bestows [[Protect (Ability)|Protect]] on the party which lasts for the rest of the battle.

**'''Mist of Safeguard:''' 5 MP; select a single ally (using more than once removes the previous target) and Neydro will instead take any enemy attacks directed at solely at them.

===Raoul Springs===

*Bio: A 19 year old swordsman. His most noticeable trait is the sombrero he wears. Extremely laid-back and eager to show off, most characters only pay minimal attention to him. He lives as a bum in an attempt to follow the example of his vagabond uncle, who was a hero of justice.

*Gameplay: The joke character. The damage output of his weapons are pitiable, though his stats are otherwise solid. His techniques, called Miracle Arts, are able to ignore the laws of physics.

*Affinity: Cudgels, Shields, Light Armour, Heavy Armour

* Miracle Arts:

**'''Practice Slash:''' 8 MP; does extremely high damage (read: about the average damage of any other character's regular attack) once per battle.

===Sam Walker===

*Bio: A 31 year old martial artist with a devil-may-care attitude, who runs a bar in Thresher. A contact of Gauche's who decides to take the party in, he is later attacked by 0's forces.

*Gameplay: Sam is primarily a physical attacker who fights with fast-paced strikes and counter-attacks.

*Affinity: Gloves, Shurikens, Daggers, Light Armour

*Martial Arts:

**'''Beat Rush:''' 7 MP; hits an opponent with multiple weak punches.

**'''Spark Rush:''' 12 MP; envelops the opponent in punches infused with the lightning element.

**'''Fiery Rush:''' 12 MP; envelops the opponent in punches infused with the fire element.

**'''Drop Kick:''' 18 MP; delivers a kick that deals 1.25 more damage, which 10% chance of [[Eject]].

===Loewe Protics===

*Bio: A 24 year old bounty hunter who searches for his missing father to this day. Initially fights against the party, but when he hears that the shadowy organization the group is pursuing may have had a hand in his father's disappearance, he reluctantly joins them.

*Gameplay: Loewe fights with an offensive mid-range style that leaves no room for defence. Assaulting his foes from a distance with his guns are his main objective, but he knows how to fight with a basic sword style when things get close and personal.

*Affinity: Guns, Swords, Light Armour

*Abilities:

**'''Sniper Shot:''' 20 MP; damages a single opponent and always inflict critical damage, as Loewe never misses a weak spot. Long charge time, and the move fails if Loewe is damaged while charging it.

===Lynna Florentina===

*Bio: A 25 year old sage in training, who has been capable of magic since a young age. Born and raised in Haven, she lost her father in a car accident that crippled her mother and left her in a coma with only one working eye. Some years after she recovered, her mother encouraged her to further improve her magical talents. She now travels across the five countries as a part of her training to become a fully initiated sage.

*Gameplay: As a magic caster, Lynna has access to a staple pool of spells, though she is not as capable as Cinis. She also has access to healing spells, though she does not learn any other defensive or supportive spells.

*Affinity: Naginata, Staves, Rods, Symbols, Robes

===Krystle Anastasius===

*Bio: A 25 year old cleric and pregnant mother who lost her home and family at the hands of 0. She was emotionally scarred over her loss, but has managed to somewhat overcome this, and now focuses her energy on taking care of the party members. She wishes to make a safer world for her unborn child.

*Gameplay: Of all the party members she has best magic stats for healing, and can also deal good damage with the few Light base spells she has. She can defend well against magic; sadly she does very poorly with anything physical-related and has the worst speed. Healing and support spells are her forte, with the capability for light and water-based damaging spells like Flood and Holy.

*Affinity: Rods, Staves, Symbols, Robes

===Castor Pollux===

*Bio: A 29 year old Cuirassier from Sapphire. Having been trained in the field of cavalry at a young age, he lives to fight and fights to live. Having finished serving his tenure of duty in the military, he now roams the lands on his powerful steed Gemini, seeking out the next great challenge.

*Gameplay: With his giant Xyston and heavy armor, Castor is best suited as a back-row tank. He is able to deal consistent damage with a high defence. However, he has low speed and he cannot use magic.

*Affinity: Spears, Gauntlets, Heavy Armor

===Vergil Igaki===

*Bio: The Leader of the Eclipse Brigade, a minuscule group of rebels who plot against Haven. Having previously worked his way up to a Major of the Haven Military, he became concerned over suspicious activity and an enigmatic woman wondering around his base. He began searching every piece of classified information he could get his hands on, eventually discovering the horrifying truth of The Deus's dual nature. Deserting Haven, he now moves to take down as many of the Seven Knights as possible.

*Gameplay: Vergil is a Dragoon/Black Mage, having an incredibly varied pool of magical spells at his disposal but severely lacking in magical power compared to Cinis and Lynna. He can fight well in both front and back row, depending on if he's relying on physical or magical attacks. His special move, '''Jump''', has him leave the fight for a set amount of time, before returning and attacking with a powered up physical attack or spell. Jump costs 20 MP for a physical attack, or the MP of a spell + 50%.

*Affinity: Spears, Naginatas, Gauntlets, Light Armour, Heavy Armour

===Jannie Soldawn===

*Bio: A cute teen who has eluded capture by the Haven military and is now looking to defend the weak from any wrong-doers.

*Gameplay: While Jannie mainly serves as the Heart in the party, she is a more offensive White Mage compared to Krystle. To prove it, she specializes in the elements of wind, lightning and holy, and also has access to some debuff spells.

*Affinity: Rods, Staves, Symbols, Robes
