The romantic comedy film, directed by Vikas Bahl and the film is released on 22 October 2015 and coinciding with Dussehra. Shaandaar performed dismally at the box-office in its opening weekend, reports filmfare.
After collecting Rs 13.10 crore on Thursday became the highest opening day for Shahid and Alia, but the film’s collections faced an anticipated drop of 40 per cent on Friday, earning only Rs 7.55 crore, earnings saw a further drop on Saturday, adding Rs 6.75 crore to the total. Sunday’s collections stood at a shocking Rs 6.11 crore, The film collected 33.51 crore nett in the first four days of its release.
Opening collections for the second weekend with a total of Rs 2.40 crore on Friday,earning Rs 3.25 crore a jump of almost 30 per cent on Saturday. The upward swing held well on Sunday too with earnings of Rs 4.10 crore. With a total of Rs 9.75 crore in the second weekend.
