We await further news on actor and action star Steven Seagal's earlier-intended goals of attaining a more solidified trajectory through last year's reported production of Attrition. In the meantime, the actor has at least one thing going for his career, and its with director Keoni Waxman amid the handful of direct-to-DVD titles they've paired on in the last several years.

Their legacy now continues with the new film, Contract To Kill, which also invites the return of Russell freaking Wong!!!??! What? I haven't seen that man in anything since Vanishing Son had its hey day as a small scale action film saga and TV series, and his subsequent effort with the short-lived action drama series, Black Sash. Wong has always been a fine actor in my book and I had wished there were more of him on screen in all these years. Good to see you too, sir!

SYNOPSIS:

In this international action-thriller, Steven Seagal stars as Harmon, a CIA/DEA enforcer investigating Arab terrorists captured in Mexico. With his team—seductive FBI agent Zara and spy-drone pilot Sharp—he flies to Istanbul and uncovers a brutal plot: Islamic extremists plan to use Sonora drug-smuggling routes to bring deadly weapons, and leaders, into the U.S. To prevent an attack on America, Harmon must turn these two savage forces against one another before his time—and his luck—run out.
The film also stars Jemma Dallender and Ghassan Bouz and is getting a December 9 limited theatrical and iTunes/VoD release from Lionsgate/Grindstone. Watch the new trailer now!
