Mark down in your calendar the last three days of June for the three-day workshop on movie production for digital migration to be held at SM Digital Cinema 2 at The Block, SM North EDSA.

Director-General Leo G. Martinez of the Film Academy of the Philippines underscored the importance of the workshop as very timely for the local film industry now making its transition into the digital era of filmmaking.

Members of the various guilds under the umbrella supervision of the Academy are enjoined to attend the workshop for free by presenting their guild IDs.

This workshop is a joint undertaking of the Film Academy of the Philippines, the National Cinema Association of the Philippines, the Multimedia Entertainment Arts Foundation Inc. (MEA) and the Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council.

MEA President Tony Reyes said the registration fee for the 3-day seminar is as follows: P1,000 for professionals; and P500 for teachers and students. The registration will start at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, June 28.
