I am thrilled to be a part of the blog tour for BE WITH ME by J. Lynn hosted by Mundie Moms Blog Tours. I have been a huge fan of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s YA books and am now just as big a fan of her New Adult series, writing as J. Lynn.

I may have arrived late to the New Adult party, but I’m here now and I’m so glad I didn’t miss it. Because I would have been missing out on all sorts of awesome had I not discovered the Wait for You series.

It is exciting, so incredibly sexy and majorly addictive. And BE WITH ME is the best yet.

I didn’t think it would be. Not after having read, and fallen in love with, both WAIT FOR YOU and TRUST IN ME. But it is. And to back up that statement, for my stop on the tour today, I’ll be sharing just what I think about BE WITH ME.

My thoughts about the book follow just a bit further below.

Description…

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.

As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

Review…

Deliciously sexy and achingly romantic, BE WITH ME is a sizzling page-turner filled with heartbreak and heat, love and loss, tension and tragedy. With characters that will captivate, charm, vex and tease and a love story that will ensnare from the very beginning, this second installment in J. Lynn’s enticing and incredibly addictive Wait for You series is a must.

Even though a year had passed, a year in which her dream of becoming a dancer was on the verge of being shattered, Teresa Hamilton still wasn’t able to forget the kiss she shared with Jase Winstead. She still couldn’t get over her crush.

Of course following her brother Cam to school, the same school he attended with Jase, was not helping matters. Neither was the fact that Jase couldn’t seem to stop teasing her, flirting with her, touching her.

With a past that left her feeling guilt-ridden and insecure and a future that’s anything but certain, Tess isn’t sure how to handle an on-again, off-again relationship with a boy who is keeping secrets and whose own past is haunting him.

Author J. Lynn has penned a heart-stirring love story that is angst-filled and seductive, whose characters have irresistible and electrifying chemistry. She has added depth to her story by having her characters face adversity and by tackling difficult, real-life issues such as abuse. And she combines these elements in a story that is both compelling and utterly delectable.

BE WITH ME invites readers to fall in love with Teresa Hamilton and Jase Winstead. It puts them through an emotional tug-of-war. It keeps them on edge as they wait to uncover each new potentially devastating secret. It tantalizes with the promise of a kiss, a touch, something more. And it delivers a read that is wickedly delightful and absolutely unputdownable.

On a personal note…

Avery and Cam who? Just kidding… sort of.

I loved Avery and Cam’s story. I really didn’t believe I would love Tess and Jase’s story nearly as much. While I was already intrigued by Jase prior to picking up this book, I couldn’t imagine thinking of Tess as anything but Cam’s little sister. So I couldn’t imagine loving her story in the same way that I loved Avery’s.

And I didn’t. I loved it so much more.

Avery and Cam’s story was like a crazy wild roller coaster ride. And oh how I love the ups and downs of those coasters. But Tess and Jase’s was more like bumper cars. Forcefully colliding, then being thrust apart. Again and again. It was seriously intense.

And it was hot. Jase was hot. Scorching hot. And he was wicked. So, so wicked. That mouth of his….

Which made for many, many deliciously sexy, steamy-hot scenes. The kind that will at a bare minimum make you blush when reading and make you wonder who turned the heat up in whatever room you’re in.

I loved the fact that the heat was cranked up in this novel. I couldn’t get enough of the electrifying chemistry between Tess and Jase. But I also loved the fact that there was more to this story than just the sexy.

I loved the love story. The complicated, messy, heartbreaking, bittersweet love story. Tess and Jase had some serious hurdles to overcome together and on their own.

My heart broke for both characters. Many times during the course of the read. For what happened to each of them in the past. For what they were going through in the present. For what they put each other through.

Jase was not always an easy character to love. He was unbelievably charming but he ran hot and cold. He’d make you blush one moment, melt your heart the next and break it the moment after that. He was maddening in the very best and very worst ways.

Tess, on the other hand, was so easy to love. She was sweet and sympathetic and sarcastic and funny. She was a fighter. While life’s setbacks may have taken her down again and again, she didn’t stay down. And she was very, very understanding. Especially when it came to Jase.

Tough or not, I adored both characters. Individually and together. I loved getting to know them over the course of this story and was sad to have to say goodbye at the story’s end.

If I was forced to choose just one aspect of this amazing story as a favorite I couldn’t do it. I loved those tantalizing scenes as much as I loved the heartbreaking ones. I loved the fact that it touched on a number of difficult issues. I loved the fact that the love story wasn’t all hearts and flowers.

And I loved the fact that Jase had absolutely no problem voicing exactly what he thought of, wanted from, and wanted to do to Teresa.

Favorite passage…

There are a lot of highlighted passages in my eCopy of BE WITH ME. So many that I’m blushing just thinking about how many, and what type of, passages I marked as favorites. But as I don’t want to reveal all the steamy, sexy bits or the totally hysterical, sarcastic lines thought or spoken by Tess, I forced myself to select just one.

And while I’d have loved to reveal just what Jase would do for extra cheese and bacon, I thought that answer was best left to be discovered during the read. Though the one I chose is equally delectable.

His hand stilled as he lifted his head. Our gazes locked. His eyes were a startling quicksilver. “I can’t forget the taste of you,” he said, and my entire body flushed. “And I’ve been dying to know how you feel.”

God knows I was not a blushing virgin on a good day, but his bold words absolutely scandalized me… in a totally good, wicked way. The fact that we were lying out in the open might also have something to do with that.

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago–an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe–please God–make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…
