Let’s see more of erudite Sherman, less of cranky impostor | John McGrath - The News Tribune
Richard Sherman, I’ve got some advice regarding an urgent matter: Contact the police. You are the victim of identity theft. Somebody with an uncanny resemblance to you appeared Thursday morning on the ESPN show “First Take.” This impostor, whoever he is, performed a spot-on impersonation of you, Sherm. He looked like you, sounded like you and was intimately familiar with your achievements on and off the field.

Don't bank on any big free agent moves by Jaguars | jacksonville.com
Defensive tackle: There has been zero chatter about Terrance Knighton returning to the Jaguars, and that creates a wide void in the middle of a defense that couldn’t stop the run last year. One possibility, if the price is right, would be Seattle’s Alan Branch, who played for Bradley and defensive line coach Todd Wash with the Seahawks.

Rumor casts spotlight on Justin Hunter « Seahawks Draft Blog
We know that Seattle will consider pass rush early in this draft, but it’s also likely that they will consider receiver somewhere during the early rounds, as they did for a backup running back in 2012. Other greater, more pressing needs pushed running back to round four, but what if Seattle “loves” a receiver option enough to take him at #25? I don’t consider it especially likely, but it is an option we must be mindful of, especially if the top pass rushers are all gone in the top 24 picks, which is unfortunately a real possibility.

Seattle Seahawks Blog - Hawk Blogger: Pre-Free Agency May Be Seahawks Focus
It is common for people to perceive the NFL off-season as a series of separate events. Players are cut for salary cap purposes in February and March (and again in June). Free Agency happens in March, and really lasts into June and July. The draft happens in April. They are not, however, distinct. Each part of the off-season feeds into the other and can drastically alter the course of a team's direction. The old Price is Right game, Plinko, comes to mind. A front office starts the off-season with a series of needs, but the path to get them addressed can change with each decision. The Seahawks are already making some moves that could have a significant impact on how they approach free agency and the draft.

Arizona QB Matt Scott solidifies serious NFL interest after marathon Pro Day performance | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports
In a draft class where most of the quarterbacks are too close to the middle for the comfort of NFL teams, there's always a chance that a relatively low-ranked guy could start climbing up the charts. That seems to be happening with Arizona's Matt Scott, a mid-round prospect in most eyes. Scott, who played in multiple systems in college and had to wait for his shot behind Nick Foles, gained a lot of traction after a Thursday throwing session that was closed to the media, but had the NFL standing at attention.

Reminder: These pieces are written from the perspective of an agent trying to hype up his client as he's about to hit free agency. My goal in writing these isn't to be accurate (or to lie), but instead to employ whatever arguments I can to make the player in question look as valuable as possible. NFL - Jaws - Top offseason trade, draft and free-agent QB options - ESPN
Newly minted Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians isn't used to the problem he's about to face in the desert. Over the course of his recent career, he's had the luxury of working with the likes of Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger and then had incredible -- forgive me -- luck with the No. 1 pick in the 2012 draft. By those standards, the Cardinals' QB situation will come as something of a change.

2. Kaderius Lacey, RB, Alabama A&M -A physically imposing back with natural size and physicality, Lacey’s best quality as a running back is actually his body control and lateral adjustments as a runner. For a runner of his size, he’s able to shake tacklers and pick up big chunks of yards on the inside. If he can run under a 4.62, it’ll be extremely impressive for a runner with his size/power.
