"We're going to do just like every team in the league and look at clubs like Seattle and Washington," said Loggains. "... It's something we're definitely going to study. It's not too far off from what we were doing as a coaching staff in 2006 and 2007 with Vince Young."

5 To Know: Broaddus Evaluates Current Class Of Tight Ends
Here are a few tight ends to keep an eye on as we get ready for the 2013 NFL Draft:

Scouting the OGs: Larry Warford, Kentucky | FirstRoundGrade.com
Larry Warford joins Jonathan Cooper (UNC) and Chance Warmack (Alabama) to form one of the better trios of guards to enter the NFL in quite some time. Rarely does an NFL Draft produce multiple first-round guards, but 2013 looks like it could be a possible exception to that rule. While the 2012 Draft had two, it was the only one in the last decade to do so. In fact, four of the last ten Drafts failed to produce a first-round player at the position. The odds are stacked against Warford creeping into round 1, but after a thorough evaluation of his game film, it’s hard not to like him as a top-32 player.

The Tape Never Lies: Clemson’s DeAndre Hopkins has quick feet, burst | 100 Yards and Running | Blogs | theScore.com
There’s an abundance of wide receivers in the 2013 NFL draft but as always, there are multiple questions with each of them. One of the one’s that has intrigued me the most while watching tape is DeAndre Hopkins, a six-foot-one, 200 pound product of Clemson University.

Draft Trends: Lighter linebackers continue to set the pace | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports
One thing that has always been true about the NFL is that for every offensive innovation, a defensive genius will come up with a counter. Bill Walsh makes the West Coast offense his own personal brand? Fine. Dick LeBeau will come back with the zone blitz, and Monte Kiffin will perfect the Tampa-2. You want to run out of passing formations, Mr. Smarty-Pants offensive coordinator? That's just dandy -- defenses will sub in "Big Nickel" packages and interchangeable safeties to mess up your little plans.

In Travis Jones, Seahawks get a coach who gets it
New defensive coordinator Dan Quinn and just-hired defensive line coach Travis Jones have a history and also share a passion for coaching the position.

Garrett: Kiffin is as good a defensive coordinator as the NFL has seen | ProFootballTalk
"He’s as good a defensive coordinator as this league has seen in a long, long time," Garrett said of Kiffin.

Futures: Baylor WR Terrance Williams | The Rookie Scouting Portfolio
I like progress. Especially when that development is happening within a human being. With its high concentration of players to cover within a compressed period of practice time, one of the things sometimes lost in all-star game practice reports is the overarching performance that spans several days.

Ten-Point Stance: Big-name WRs biggest FA catches this offseason - NFL - CBSSports.com News, Rumors, Scores, Stats, Fantasy
In a down market for QBs, Mike Freeman says game-changing WRs like Percy Harvin, Wes Welker and Victor Cruz will be the big free-agent targets.

Draft Rumblings - What NFP is hearing from around the NFL. | National Football Post
Not all NFL people that I spoke with can offer this insight, but those who have been sitting in on draft meetings for over a decade made an interesting point to me this week. The discussions surrounding where Justin Hunter should be slotted on the draft board sounds eerily similar to those that took place when Lee Evans came out. Similar to Evans, Hunter looked like a potential top ten pick in 2011 before tearing the ACL in his knee and reminded some of Randy Moss with his big play ability and knack for making tough catches. However, in 2012 Hunter did not show the same explosiveness and elite speed that he did before the injury and dropped way too many passes. The question teams are trying to answer is whether Hunter will eventually return to his pre-injury form as Evans did, or will he be the player he was in 2012 throughout his NFL career. We have been told not to be shocked if some team, perhaps Baltimore as they did with Jamal Lewis, takes a gamble and uses their first round pick on Hunter.

Blaine Gabbert might have been the first QB taken in the 2013 draft--because no one appears to be sold on the other QBs

Jags say that Blaine Gabbert would be the best QB in 2013 draft class, and they might be right | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo! Sports
New Jacksonville Jaguars quarterbacks coach Frank Scelfo recently made a statement that would have been heresy in 2012, but actually makes a bit of sense in 2013 -- and shows just how questionable the 2013 quarterback draft class really is. 23-year old Jags quarterback Blaine Gabbert is going into his third NFL season, but would have been in this rookie class had he redshirted and stayed for his senior year at Missouri. And according to Scelfo, Gabbert would have been the best quarterback in the 2013 draft order.

Seattle Seahawks Draft Target Profile: QB Collin Klein - 12th Man Rising - A Seattle Seahawks Fan Site - News, Blogs, Opinion and more.
My third (of 4) possibilities for the Seahawks in April’s draft for the backup QB spot isn’t one I think will make a lot of Seahawk fans happy. Kansas State’s Collin Klein is a guy who’s well known for being a runner who has little in the way of passing skills.

Breaking Down How Richard Sherman Became the Best Corner in the NFL | Bleacher Report
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman wasn't always viewed as the best cornerback in the football. At first, he wasn't even a cornerback. Prior to 2009, the brash and confident corner was a wide receiver at Stanford University. From 2006 to 2008, he was the leading receiver for the Cardinal before being sidelined with a knee injury four games into his junior year. He applied for a medical redshirt that year and was granted it, giving him a year to rehab and make a surprising transition to cornerback in the spring of 2009.
