Betz White holiday stockings workshop

Betz White will show you how to make your own felted wool holiday stocking in this exploratory class. Turn old sweaters, felt scraps, wool roving and more into a whimsical holiday decoration or a wonderful gift. Embellish your creations with flowers, rosettes, leaves, etc, using applique, simple hand stitching and needle felting. Betz is the author of Warm Fuzzies and Sewing Green and she has appeared on The Martha Stewart Show and been featured in Craft Magazine, Country Living and Cloth, Paper, Scissors. Her bright and whimsical style will have you inspired to create a lot out of a little after this fabulous class!
Cost includes all materials except book.

This class is rated “hip” - No previous experience required.
Materials to bring:
A wide variety of felted wool sweaters, colorful scraps, wool roving, yarn and other embellishments will be provided by the instructor. Students are also required to bring/buy a copy of Warm Fuzzies. Copies will be available for purchase from the instructor. Students should bring a basic sewing kit with fabric shears, hand sewing needle and thread, straight pins, measuring tape, etc. Students may also bring their own pre-felted wool sweaters to refashion if they have a specific color preference for their stocking.
