Just landed
We have brand new adorable tape measures! Choose from a variety of plastic and crocheted tape measures and pick up one for every project bag!
Knitter’s Keeps are back in stock in orange, green, blue and gray! We also received more of the handy coordinating row counters!
We just received the brand new Noro Silk Garden book, published in honor of Silk Garden’s 20th anniversary!

We have two wonderful trunk shows currently in space. Swing by to see the New Girl collection, a sweet gathering of knits for the little girls in your life. See all of these beautiful items in person until May 22!

A crafting trifecta is arrived in Old Town! Stitch Sew Shop is a brand new fabric store that just opened in our old location on Fayette Street. Be sure to join us this Saturday, May 14th for the first annual Old Town Craft Walk. Visit Potomac Bead Company, Stitch Sew Shop and us here at fibre space for a day filled with crafting adventures. There will be snacks and fun craft activities in each location and even exciting drawings for those who visit all three shops.
Susan B. Anderson is indeed coming to space in just one week! She will be offering the Build a Toy workshop on May 19th, Exploring Shawl Shapes workshop and Top-Down Seamless Dolls workshop on May 20th, and the Design You Own Fair Isle Mitts workshop and Egg to Owl workshop on May 21st. Exploring Shawl Shapes, Top-Down Seamless Dolls and Fair Isle Mitts are currently sold out, but please give us a call to be placed on the wait list.

Our spring charity stitch in space will be held on May 22 from 4-6 pm. We will be stitching baby hats, touch blankets and bunting for donation to area hospitals in connection with the area’s Pregnancy and Infant Loss Network. See below for more info on the stitch-a-long!

Mark your calendars for World Wide Knit in Public Day on June 18th. Join us from 1-4 pm at the Commerce Street Park to share our craft with the world. We’ll also have prize drawings all day!
Classes
Treat yourself to a new skill this spring with our Introduction to Knitting or Introduction to Crochet classes!
The Chevron Baby Blanket class starting on Tuesday, May 17th is perfect for learning increases and decreases while creating a colorful baby blanket that is sure to become a family heirloom. $65.
The First Hat – Ribbed Beanie class is our favorite second course after completing the Intro to Knitting Course. This class begins on Tuesday, May 24th and gives you the option of a beanie or slouch hat. $65.
Ready for a beautiful second sweater project? The Top Down Lace Backed Cardi class starting on Tuesday, May 24th is a great introduction to reading sweater schematics and lace charts. $80.
Learn top down sweater construction and basic lace in the Lace Baby Sweater course. Class begins on Wednesday, May 25th and you’ll create a classic baby sweater that will boost your entire knitting skillset. $80.
Learn a variety of Fair Isle techniques including corrugated ribbing and Latvian braids in the Fair Isle Hat class beginning on Thursday, May 26th. $65.
