I run slower

As I age, I hope for a wonderful life for my children

my opportunities become clearer.

AS I AGE I am 57 years and hope to see more of AUSTRALIA

I experience and the more I experience the richer my life becomes.

I realise that the people around me don’t dream of things past present or future.

As I age……I lose my inhibition allowing my dares and dreams to come to fruition!

I want to live juicy, engaged fully in this amazing life we are gifted

I want to surf more

As I age each day becomes a gift laden with possibility for time is more precious

I want to keep learning, growing, changing, keeping up with our ever-changing world

I want my opinions to be etched in the lines on my face.

I will discard my mistakes and treasure my friends.

I’ve resolved to make each day a day of fun, happiness, learning

I plan to contribute to my local and world community in as wise and compassionate

I hope to discover that there is true love as I dream to have a life partner to share

I want to let go of my fears and inhibitions, and live the life of my dreams.

I find myself happier with who I am while making time for what matters

my hair lightens to grey and my mind lightens towards play

I find your smile leads me into that place of softness, past the years and line

I realise imagination is the greatest gift we’re given.

I walk barefoot along the beach eng@aging body and soul. My vision dims but clarity

Movements slow and body bends, Though mind is sharp and clear

I hope to love more, be wiser and more knowledgeable, experience more culture.

I’m going quack myself up laughing releasing cares like water off a duck’s back.

I will love my greying hair, sagging skin, lack of energy, signs of a great life

every wrinkle is a map to a thousand life stories untold and a million lessons.

I DISCOVER MYSELF AGAIN AND AGAIN, IN THE QUIET OF MY HEARTBEAT, IN THE WINDSONG

I will mentally and physically stay active; staying engaged with family and friends

I find that many aspects of life are turning shades of grey, not just my hair.

I reaslise that some things are just not that important anymore and am a volunteer.  I feel blessed, and am more confident and comfortable with who I am and where I am at.

I delight in small ordeals – my grandson’s footprints from the mud he feels and my shrinking feet now in size six heels.

I hope for a time when each human being is automatically considered as equally valued as another, regardless of age.

I must remember not laugh with a full bladder!

its clear life is not a dress rehearsal.

Daily, I realise more and more the importance of accepting God(my father)’s will as he is managing all my affairs

my body betrays me, and the mirror lies. I am caught between Anger and Denial. Acceptance might take some time.

The old- frame with age can tell a daunting tale; but only speak to me – of the moments of love that touched my heart!

For the first time in my life,am on my own at 65, a widow, loving family, being blessed to have experienced love unconditionally.

so do my parents. I watch them care for their parents and know that one day that will be me. Let’s turn duty into privilege.

As I age I cherish the grateful, peaceful me emerging – those once vital comparisons and influences and must-have’s are no longer important

My horizons are expanding in a very exciting fashion and everything I thought, and was taught, about ageing when I was younger is untrue!

I hope my beautiful 14yr old granddaughter, who has always lived with us, will always be safe, happy and loved.

I keep moving forward, forward to enjoy and appreciate everything I possibly can.

I have become much kinder to myself and others, and I endeavour to be grateful for absolutely everything that I experience

I know how to reward my body with too-cold skinny dips, winks in the mirror and gifts of lurex and feather.

I realise more and more how precious life is and determine to live it to the fullest.

I find myself becoming admiring of those ageing ahead of me, and take heart from their courage.

my cancer grows bold and I’m determined to grow OLD!

I dream of carefree days and hope the very existence of my being continues to swim in the pool of Life.

I realise that many small things are not worth so much angst.

The words in my favourite books mean more to me.

I’m just like wine…improving, growing all the time.

my values have matured. Instead of wealth, I seek closeness with family. Instead of fame, I seek peace and contentment.

I enjoy living more. Learning, volunteering, travelling, being grandma, enjoying friends and loving family

I delve beneath visible surface to embrace the youthful soul within; like an ocean diver I explore my depths.

my concerns about aging – becoming less able to care for my ill adult son & my hopes – to gratefully repay my daughter’s constant loving support

I want to be healthy and strong and be able to go for a walk everyday, to garden and live life with passion and hope

I Hope to stay active & healthy,& see my Grandchildren grow up to live happy lives.

I become more wiser, more honest and more intolerant of stupid people.

I am discovering the truth about who I am

I am relishing the freedom to devote more time to family, friends, community and the myriad joys of daily life

I come alive and celebrate with flair; I grow bold instead of old thanks to Feros Care.

each day becomes more precious and you are crazy if you don’t make the best of it & pursue passions

my once beloved dreams entwine with the sacred responsibility of eldership: now I am the ancestor of those who are yet unborn.

I hope that all human’s awaken to the bliss of the miracle that we are and care for each other and the planet we live on

I seemed to have aquired greater patience and compassion for my own and others shortcomings. What a relief!

I hope for lightness, brightness, laughter, love, respect, awareness+generosity.I dream that for all elders, regardless of gender, race or birthplace

I hope to keep my sense of humour, keep active, retain my memories and still carry a dream in my heart.

I love more and forgive all.

I am enjoying life so much more, extra busy with volunteer work and president/secretary

I seem to get better with some things but not to good with others.

I will do so gracefully and still feel confident as I would always take good care of myself

I become more aware of my mind, body and soul. I minimise my alcohol intake

I want to care more about my family and friends and care less about my lines of ‘wisdom’

I will create great works of art and laugh everyday with my family and friends.

I realize that inside every older person is a young person wondering what has gone wrong.

As I age I gain more wisdom

reflect on what’s important – health is wealth

I learn that there is much to be said for mediocrity
