I was recently invited to attend a prestigious event called Valentines Under The Stars, this event is in it's second year and organised by the lovely Barbara Lenhard of Opulent Living Experiences.
I love Barbara's description of love:
'Love is no fairytale, love is not perfect and it's not easy. But it's what makes life worthwhile - and it's certainly impossible to live without.'
I have had the privilege of attending a few of the events organised by Opulent Living Experiences and never (as in ever) have I been disappointed. The artist line up's are always amazing, the orchestra is always breathe taking and the MC Katlego Maboe is always super entertaining.
What made this event even more special was the fact that it was an inaugural event at the brand new Century City Conference Centre & Hotel. The open air courtyard a unique 'European Style' concept, and a first for this area of Cape Town.
The evening was a romantic evening starring performances by local artists, The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra and conducted by Xavier Cloete.
The evening was set be a Grand affair with the following line up of artists:
- The Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra
- Jonathan Roxmouth
- Lynelle Kenned
- Magdalene Minaar
- Katlego Maboe
- The Gugulethu Tenors
- Sabrina Alves (new comer)
- Cornelia Patzelsperger
The treats were never ending Lindt Chocolate delights, from the gifts to the treats to nibble in-between at interval ... and who can honestly say no to Lindt?
The unique venue thrilled all the senses, from the beautiful floral hearts for photo opportunities, to the LOVE lightbox, candles and even projected patterns on the sides of the buildings ... it was a colourful and delightful affair.

The evening was the most lavish affair of champagne, chocolate tinged love and heart warming song and I would honestly encourage you not to miss out next year!
