Boy Called Ben Photography

“With each wedding my aim is simple; to observe quietly and document moments in the most natural and authentic way possible. I believe in creating images that make you feel and tell a story which showcases the connection between couples, their friends and family.”

Boy Called Ben Photography

Ben grew up in the middle of the English countryside, so spent a lot of his youth playing outdoors and in nearby cornfields. This heavily shaped the way he sees and experiences the world – He loves a good adventure and finds inspiration in beautiful light and landscapes. He sees it as always incredibly motivating to meet couples who share a mutual love for these things and are passionate about the possibilities of their wedding and where it will take them.

Barrie Downie

Barrie loves to produce creative and glamorous photographs of every couple on their wedding day shooting gorgeous images from every moment throughout the day. Starting with all the little details such as the rings and your wedding dress, through to the preparations of the bride and groom, and then onto the ceremony and reception in the evening! He works with you to make sure you get the most amazing photographs that go to making up these fine art wedding albums.

Your day will be captured in a mix of well directed and beautifully lit images and also candid reportage moments caught in just a fleeting moment. All of this will be printed on fine art paper and hand bound into a beautiful leather album. Of course you will have all of the digital images as well to share with your friends and family and keep forever but nothing beats the tactile nature of a printed album.

Ann Kathrin Koch

Hot sand beneath your bare feet, a friendly face of a stranger where the smile is more important than the words of a language you don’t understand, a lazy nap in the shade of spiky palm trees – travelling feeds your soul and makes you happier than the Muppets. So why not combine this love of foreign climates with celebrating the day you marry the one person you love? Let this be your story. Be unreasonably happy.

Ann photographs worldwide – in the last few years she´s been booked to photograph weddings and honeymoon sessions from everywhere from Myanmar, to Germany, to Ireland. This experience means that she can help you with all of her travel arrangements and make the process just as easy as booking a photographer who is local.

Luis Holden

If Luis´ style was to have a few labels attached to it he´d go for anti-cheese, fresh and super-relaxed. Non-traditional labels but then, he´s not a traditional style photographer.

The last little bit, his approach; he’s all about the real connections between people. He never ask brides and grooms to hold a smile and look inanely towards the lens or hold each other in a peculiar way. He plans out shots in advance and keeps couples portraits nice ‘n’ quick (but still awesome!). The main thing for him though is that he tries to be a part of your day rather than an outsider looking in, to blend in with your guests so that he can capture all that sparkly emotion floating about. He genuinely does love it all, the morning prep as much as the crazy-cool dance-moves late into the night. Real-life captured with a splash of creativity thrown in too!

Ross Harvey

On Christmas day 2009 Ross´ father gifted him a single, perfectly wrapped present. It had a single note on the top, which read ‘Follow Your Dreams’. The present was a Nikon D700. A year later he had turned professional, and after three years he’d won The Best Wedding Photographer in England (twice!) and become the top UK Fearless Photographer (and still is). His dream was twofold; firstly, to offer couples a genuine, heartfelt story of their wedding day and secondly, do so as creatively and beautifully as possible.

The awards are a representation of his constant drive to achieve, refine and develop these dreams. He still does so today; every wedding he shoots he´s grateful for, and he treats couples and guests as old friends, and does his absolute best to showcase their weddings through an artistic and honest vision.

His approach is to document their celebrations in the most natural, creative and authentic way possible in order to build a story of images that will only increase in value as the years roll on.

On the day itself, he works like a friend with a camera, enjoying everything with them, their friends and family, and in doing so will slip into the background for the most part. You´re likely notice him most when he comes up to the couple bouncing and shouting about some amazing light just around the corner. He loves becoming a part of each and every wedding he´s invited to – exploring, making new connections and telling stories is what he loves to do!
