HTC first released the Nougat update for the HTC 10 several weeks ago and it has now been gradually rolling it out in more markets across the globe. It was most recently released by Sprint for HTC 10 owners on its network. The HTC 10 is now receiving the hotly-anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat update in India. Those who own this handset in the country should now keep an eye out as the update notification will soon land on their device.

Unlocked HTC 10 units were the first to receive Android 7.0 Nougat in November last year. Since then, it has slowly been making this update available in more markets across the globe. Users in the United Kingdom got this update at the end of January. It’s India’s turn now.

Multiple reports have come in from India confirming that the HTC 10 Nougat update has now been released in the country. It’s predictably a huge update file, coming in at 1.21GB. Since it’s going to bump up the core Android OS to version 7.0, bring system enhancements as well as the latest Android security update by Google.

HTC 10 users in India should have received the over-the-air notification for this update by now. If some haven’t yet, they can head over to the Settings app and try to manually pull this update.
