If you’re the kind of person who loves collecting special edition copies of games, you might be interested to learn that Capcom has taken off the wraps of the Collector’s Edition of the upcoming Resident Evil 7. As you can see in the image above, it looks pretty sweet, but the bad news is that it is exclusive to GameStop.
So what comes with the Collector’s Edition? It will come with a dummy finger 4G USB drive, a metal case, a VHS tape box, an exclusive lithograph, a “creepy note”, and a music box shaped like a house (as you can see above). The music box is capable of playing a sample of the song “Go Tell Aunt Rhody”, is 8-inches tall, and includes flashing LED lights, which we can only imagine might look particularly creepy especially at night.
The entire set is priced at $180 and will naturally include a copy of the game as well. We should note that GameStop’s Collector’s Edition of the game won’t be the only version that will be sold. There are some pre-order bonuses and there will also be a Deluxe Edition of the game, so if you don’t want to spend too much money, those are some other options that you can look at.
Resident Evil 7 has been pegged for a release on the 24th of January, 2017 and will be playable on the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and the PlayStation VR.
