On a warm summer’s evening a handful of FDMers joined a huge gathering of 70,239 runners from 2,682 companies to run in the 23rd annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Frankfurt, a fun run of 5.6 km (3.5 miles) through the city of skyscrapers. It is the third time that FDM Germany has taken part in the race, whose route passes directly in front of the Frankfurt office.

It was the fourth time this race has exceeded 70,000 total entrants making it the largest race in the world so far this year and the biggest in the Corporate Challenge Series. The atmosphere on the evening was fantastic with fans lining the streets supporting their co-workers for one of Frankfurt’s annual highlights.

Aram Wiencke, IT Trainer at FDM Germany, ran in the race alongside five other FDMers and commented “As a keen athlete myself I’m happy to support this cause, it’s a great experience and an amazing atmosphere”.

J.P. Morgan donated a sizeable € 253,000 to the German Sport Aid Foundation and the German Disabled Youth Foundation on behalf of all of the race’s participants.

“Over the last nine years, J.P. Morgan has donated more than two million Euro for this good cause,” said Martin Wiesmann, Senior Country Officer Germany of J.P. Morgan. “The Corporate Challenge has become far more than just a corporate race in Germany; it’s a truly meaningful charity event.”

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is a global celebration of corporate teamwork, camaraderie and community giving. It’s about creating an environment where companies can come together, engage in healthy competition, and feel pride in their place of work and their community.

Well done to the FDMers who took part, we are looking forward to an even bigger crowd next year!
