Summer is all about glowing, bronzed skin and looking like you’ve just stepped off your private jet from an impromptu trip to Capri. Even if the Capri/jet part is not in the cards, at least glowing skin is still a reasonable expectation. However, while summer is just getting under way, beauty brands are already rolling out their fall collections. NARS, one of the leaders of the pack, will introduce their new range of fall colors on July 15, bringing a more sophisticated matte look to your local department store and Sephora locations.

The Fall NARS collection includes three shades of eye shadow, which are all sans sparkle and work together to create a new twist on the smoky eye. In lieu of black, fall’s sultry smoky eye is a warmer shade of navy, thanks to the combination of Kamchatka, Namibia and Yamal eyeshadows. Yamal, which NARS describes as a “maple sugar” shade, will be limited edition whereas its two statement making smoky eye essentials will be joining your favorites in the NARS permanent lineup.
The collection also includes Mysterious Red Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, which blends a bold, bright red with one of NARS’ most beloved formulations that’s not too matte but not so glossy that it loses the grown-up sophistication of a shine-free pout. Golden eyeliners and more subtle lip colors are included in the collection for those less daring, but everyone from shrinking violets to the most avant garde will be clamoring for the two nail lacquers. We predict that Galathée and Fury, dove grey and royal purple, respectively, will be gracing the fingers of many a runway show come New York Fashion Week as well as the tips of chic fashion bloggers and lacquerheads alike.

In addition to the fall collection, NARS will be launching brow products as well. For the first time ever, NARS will be offering a brow gel, in both clear and colored options to match your natural brow shade and a Brow Perfector, a unique ovular pencil that makes creating natural looking brows as simple as flicking your wrist. The special oval tip allows you to have precise control over size, shape and angle.
“The brow gives shape and character to the face,” said Founder and Creative Director François Nars. “It can create a totally different expression.”
The brow gel will be available in three shades in addition to clear and the Brow Perfector will be available in four shades.
NARS Makeup Pochette
Makeup junkies everywhere will also be coveting NARS’ first makeup bag, a pochette decorated with a sequin lip pattern. Just like the color cosmetics being released for fall, François designed the bag himself for makeup addicts and aficionados to stay organized no matter how big their stash. The pochette is part of a larger collection of Fall gift items that also includes two new eyeshadow palettes, each containing six shades of NARS favorites as well as limited-edition colors you can’t find anywhere else.
