My sweet husband had literally 30 seconds to snap a pic of me, without being fully zipped and bundled up, so apologies if it isn’t the most glam, but it has been FREEZING here in New York City!! I’m going to use my own advice from the feature I wrote for IFB to find creative places to take outfit photos at in the winter, but in the meanwhile, I couldn’t wait to share with you the latest products that I’ve been testing: a clothing and jewelry subscription service called LE TOTE.
Here’s how it works: sign up for an account, designate your sizing, and select the items you see that you love. Next, choose if you’d like a “jewelry box” (3 jewelry pieces at a time) or “boutique box“ (3 garments and two accessories at a time), with free shipping each way. Wear the pieces as long and for as many time as you like, and as soon as you send the items back, then you’ll receive the next box full of goodies. Brands found in the box are varied, oftentimes found at some of my favorite retailers such as Anthropologie, Shopbop, Nordstrom, NastyGal, and Piperlime.
New merchandise comes in every few weeks to the site, with around 300 items on the site right now, which means you’re sure to find some items that you like! And, if you get sent something you really, really love…you can keep it! The prices are really great if you decide to keep something, considered as “consignment rates,” where you can just hold onto it and your credit card on file will be charged (prices range per item category; the highest is at $50 for dresses, $30 for tops, $19 for scarves, etc).
I love that my closet isn’t going to burst with items, I constantly have something fresh to wear, and I don’t have to worry about cleaning them either; everything arrives wrinkle-free, and can merely be sent back after you wear them; no need to launder! I think this is a great solution to getting a quick fashion fix with a hint of what you may receive, but also some excitement, as you never know exactly which of the pieces you picked may arrive.
