The high-end Soho retailer now offers shoppers the French-inspired styles from Japanese designer Yukari Suda.

Kisan, the highly curated women’s and children’s designer retailer in Soho, announced the arrival of Pas de Calais‘ Autumn/Winter collection. This season’s collection marks the 15th anniversary of the line from Japanese designer Yukari Suda.

“Pas de Calais designs are perfect for Kisan shoppers,” said store co-owner Thorunn Anspach. “The fall 2013 line features the perfect mix of style, comfort, and luxury that we seek out in all of the clothes and accessories that we offer.”

The coats, dresses and tops from Pas de Calais are inspired by the rugged beauty of Northern France, overlooking the English Channel. Anspach and co-owner Olivier Bremond selected easy-to-wear dresses, glen-plaid coats, and comfortable, yet stylist tops from the collection.

“Yukari Soda choses colors based on the French countryside,” said Bremond. “For fall and winter, they are perfect neutrals, including classic navy, black, and shades of gray that are perfect to accessorize.”

The luxury shoe designs carried by Kisan are the perfect accompaniment to the Pas de Calais line. Robert Clergerie’s fall footwear is a popular choice. These stylish women’s designs have been renowned for decades for their particular mix of Parisian style, British flair and revolutionary edge. The wedge styles and oxfords offered at Kisan feature quality craftsmanship and incredible comfort.

Pedro Garcia’s 2013 fall collection at Kisan are the perfect blend of edgy city style and fine craftsmanship. The Spanish shoemaker’s designs selected by Kisan include a perforated loafer, wedges, and a mid-calf boot, all in neutral black. Summer styles, including great sandals from Pedro Garcia and Tsumori Chisato are currently on sale.

Another new arrival is the fall fashion line from Parisian design house Swildens. Helmed by designer Juliette Swildens, the collection embodies a playful mix of romance and American rock ‘n’ roll tempered by European style. The fall line features dresses, tops and pants with subtle abstract prints in neutral colors. Studded leather jacket and short neon accent fur coat bring an exciting street style edge to this collection.

The classic coats and tops from Pas de Calais are perfect backdrops for new scarf designs by Italian design house Faliero Sarti. These light unisex styles are created from hand-picked feather-light wool, cashmere, cotton blends, and cashmere silk milled on site. They are the perfect weight to take you from fall to winter, and even back to spring. The color palette ranges from a warm yellow to deep blues, with sophisticated prints and elegant multi-colored designs.

Anspach and Bremond opened Kisan in 2008 in Soho, bringing the very best of their favorite fashions and designers they discovered while traveling the world extensively for 20 years. Their retail philosophy is to marry Parisian fashion sensibilities with New York style with clothing that doesn’t sacrifice fine quality and wearability. The owners pride themselves on selecting current and upcoming designers with a unique dedication to both craft and style.

Kisan is located at 125 Greene Street, between Prince Street and W, Houston Street in New York. Or shop online at http://www.kisanstore.com/.
