Free People November 2013 Lookbook

I love checking out lookbooks by Free People. For one thing it always reveals beautiful models starring in the photosets. Also, you will rarely spot a catalogue that was shot in the studio. The brand's team is extremely creative in terms of coming up with great ideas for the shooting. As a result, we get a chance to enjoy not only the beauty of the presented clothing pieces, but also the appeal of the surrounding sights or nature. And, lastly, Free People provides us with so many adorable outfits that it's hard to choose the favorite one. Of the three factors, only two worked this time. The model is stunning and the ensemles are superior. But the background is rather simple, if you compare it to the previous ones. Yet, to be honest, looking at the images of November 2013 lookbook, the backdrop is the last thing I want to focus on.

Ieva Laguna for Free People November 2013 Catalogue

Ieva Laguna was tapped by the fashion retailer this time. I adore the saucy and charming looks that she created. Anthony Nocella lensed the beauty as she posed in the studio. This is not her first collaboration with Free People, the model worked for the label before.

First, a couple of words about Ieva. The 23-year-old beauty was born in Saldus, Latvia. She started her modeling career at the age of 17 (a very classic age, I would say). She was recruited by Nils Raumanis, the founder of DANDY model management, who spotted her unique charm at the MTV/B-day festival in Riga.

Later on she became engaged with other modeling agencies, such as: Supreme New York, M4 Berlin, Model Management Hamburg, Select London, View Barcelona-Madrid, Women Management (Milan), Women Management (Paris) and STARSYSTEM. Judging by this quite impressive list of her managers, one can tell that Laguna posseses a significant portion of talent.

The Latvian model may be proud for being engaged into the runway shows of Shiatzy Chen, Christian Dior, Nina Ricci, Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria's Secret, Versace, Carolina Herrera and Michael Kors. Plus, she has been starring in quite a number of ad campaigns and lookbooks since the beggining of her fabulous career. Moreover, what is one of the main factors that demonstrate someone's success nowadays? Right, one has to grace the popular edition's cover, and maybe, become a character of the cover story or an interview. And, trust me, Ieva has succeeded in it as well. Among her covers are Vogue Germany, Vogue Greece, Rushmagazine, Elle France, and Marie Claire Italy.

Now back to the lookbook. The outfits are full of the bohemian-inspired zest that keeps me going back to each of the images. There is definitely something enchanting about it. I can't explain what it is, but I can hardly resist this force of gravity that keeps pulling both my mind and body closer to the featured ensembles.

A lot of embellishment is what you will definitely adore. Also, fur, stripes, lace, various belts and hats are designed to blow our minds. What I like the most is the way these clothing pieces are combined. Seems like they were created in order to be mixed. For instance, this gorgeous blazer in cream covered with gold sequins over a beige shirt with black lacing and embroidery makes me desperately want to be Ieva. A pair of Boyfriend jeans fits in here just perfectly.

Free People November 2013 lookbook offers a whole bunch of stylish and trendy outfits that can be donned both to work and to a hang-out place. Both the model and the photographer worked hard on the photoshoot and this is the result we enjoy now.
