Three days ago, on May 4th, Google was honouring legendary actress Audrey Hepburn on her birth anniversary, that would have been 85th, with a pink --Audrey Hepburn photo-- doodle.
Since I was very young, I have been adoring Audrey Hepburn for her amazing style and physical beauty. When I was more grown up and read a lot about her life story, not only I adore Audrey because of that, but also of her beautiful heart..
She lived in the same era as my grandmother (Audrey was born in 1929, my grandma in 1926). I love seeing my grandma in old photos, posing with her three sisters in year 1950s or 1960s.. they look so young and beautiful, and their clothes look very well-tailored with fabulous cut. Sometimes they looked so Audrey, dressing in wide-open-shoulder knee-length dresses.. she might be one of their style inspiration in that era.
Audrey Hepburn's style is classic, elegance, and she always looked feminine even with boyish short hair cut. Beside her appearances in movies and some magazines (like in Vogue, Nov 1, 1964), for everyday wear, she often seen wearing simple cut outfits; well-tailored outfit, coats or suits; black and white ensemble, wide-open-shoulder tops, fine dresses, maxi skirts, black pants/skirt, classic trench coat, striped tee/pants, and a --must be her favorite-- white button-down shirt; also an assortment of hats and earrings.. something we can imitate and adapt to our style ;)
It’s not about having “special” clothes for special occasions, it’s about making regular days special with the use of clothes. - Keanan Duffty
