Kendall Jenner led a stunning cast of catwalk stars down the runway – quite literally – at Chanel’s impressive airline-themed Paris Fashion Week show on Tuesday morning.

The 19-year-old supermodel led the group of models taking off down the runway during Karl Lagerfeld’s hugely-anticipated Spring/Summer 2016 show, for which the fashion veteran transformed the iconic Grand Palais in Paris into a luxury Chanel airport terminal, complete with check-in desk, departure boards and baggage carts – all stamped with the trademark Chanel logo.

Mr Lagerfeld put on a first class show, as always, putting a futuristic twist on the brand’s iconic tweed designs, while injecting vibrant color into each ensemble that was showcased on the catwalk.

Ready for takeoff! Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais in Paris into a Chanel-themed airport terminal for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2016 fashion week show

First class show: Models took to the runway with suitcases and luxurious hold-alls, while many front row guests were seated in areas resembling departure gate lounges

Designer terminal: Guests arriving at the show were invited to check in at one of the designated Chanel Airlines desks

She’s a star: Kendall Jenner, 19, led a stunning group of models down the runway at the show, modeling a colorful take on Chanel’s iconic tweed suit

Check-in desk: The models in the show made full use of the branded desks, which the runway circled around. A large departures board was also constructed above the desks, and featured exotic locations such as Shanghai, Slazburg and Tokyo

Those lucky enough to be invited to the star-studded show were asked to check in with Chanel-clad staff members upon arrival at the bright, airy ‘terminal’, before being shown to their seats, some of which were cleverly modeled after those usually found in a departure gate waiting area.

Catering perfectly to his jet-setting clientele, Karl emblazoned many of his ensembles with arrivals board-inspired patterns, while others came complete with airplane pins and travel-ready Chanel holdalls and suitcases – perfect for a luxurious getaway on Chanel Air.

Never one to do anything half-heartedly, the Chanel designer even had baggage ramps ready and waiting for any guests eager to check anything in before taking their seats – while the models were able to hand over their suitcases before carrying on their walk down the runway.

Paying homage to fashions favored by the people piloting the plane, some of the leggy ladies strutting their stuff down the catwalk modeled over-sized aviator-style glasses, which were also given a bright and bold twist in the form of vibrant polarized lenses.

Kendall modeled a pair of orange-tinned specs, while wearing a blue, yellow, red and white tweed skirt suit, a fresh and vibrant update of the Chanel classic that has been a stalwart of the brand for years.

Taking the fashion word by storm: The new collection featured vibrant checks, freshly updated tweeds and voluminous skirts

Check your luggage: The models were totally committed to the show, with some even stopping to check their bags

All-aboard! The show even featured two dapper-looking pilots, whose Chanel suits were an arm – and a wing! – above all other airline uniforms

Strut your stuff: Rather than following the traditional catwalk style, the models gathered in groups, hurried around, paused and spoke to guests, looking more like (very well-dressed) travelers than runway models

No expenses spared: The Grand Palais was completely unrecognisable thanks to its airport makeover

Air hostess: Kendall was decked out in a smart tweed blazer with a sequinned hem and a matching pencil skirt, teamed with silver gloves and finished with vibrant orange holographic sunglasses

Hats off! Lagerfeld sent models down the runway with tomboy style headgear and bohemian prints giving a laid-back vibe to the looks

Specs appeal: Paying homage to fashions favored by the people piloting the plane, some of the leggy ladies strutting their stuff down the catwalk modeled over-sized aviator-style glasses, which were also given a bright and bold twist in the form of vibrant polarized lenses

Paris Fashion Week will be coming to a close tomorrow, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves because Karl Lagerfeld showed the Chanel spring ready-to-wear collection this morning – one we’ve long been waiting for.

Kendall Jenner was once again selected to walk the catwalk for the designer and she looked effortless as she stepped through the make-believe Chanel airlines airport – once again the fashion house outdid themselves with creativity!

Marching down with spacey shoes and glasses on, Kendall was barely recognisable, but didn’t she look fabulous in this printed two-piece? We loved the graphic print and the pairing looked perfect for a fancy dinner date or simply to wear to your business meetings (perhaps with slightly different shoes mind!)

While you cannot get her exact skirt, why not shop our similarly printed picks below? If you’re on a budget head to New Look or House of Fraser, or snap up the Mary Katrantzou number if money is no object.

As one of the show’s standout stars, her presence was striking as she strutted down the unique runway, her look topped off with a pair of vibrant orange sunset-inspired aviator shades.

Her dark locks were tamed into a long, low ponytail and with metal headbands covering her crown, and she wore a pair of on-trend, chunky perspex heels on her feet.

The runway diva later emerged in another fashion-forward ensemble, this time sporting a pair of baggy leather flares with an overlapping skirt.

Her outfit was completed with a crystal-embellished jacket, staying true to fashion house founder Coco Chanel’s ladylike aesthetic with pretty bow detailing.

The futuristic theme was also present in the make-up since Kendall was given an avant-garde, blue stripe covering her eyes.

In July, Kendall was hand-picked by Karl Lagerfeld to close the Chanel show during Paris’ Haute Couture Fashion Week, firmly cementing the star’s position as Lagerfeld’s number one muse, taking over from her model-turned-actress pal Cara Delevingne.

Each season, Karl Lagerfeld hand-picks a ‘bride’ to close his couture show, someone he deems to be the star of his runway, so it comes as no surprise that Kendall was once again leading the troupes.

Show of support: Kendall gave a passing wave to her close friend Cara Delevingne, who was perched in the front row

Quick change: Kendall also wore this dramatic leather ensemble, rocking flares with a caped skirt with a futuristic, crystal-embellished jacket with bow detailing during the Spring/Summer 2016 show

Classics… with a twist: Models stalked the unique runway in black and white designs that were trademark Chanel, but with avant-garde stylings, such as voluminous shapes and a mixture of textures

Flight status: chic! Each of the models strutted with attitude past the ticket counters – though they seemed to already be checked in, as nobody stopped

Designer baggage: Many of the models wheeled suitcases behind them, with the luggage proving just as luxurious as the clothing

While it is debatable whether it would actually be comfortable to fly in these outfits, any celeb who picked one up would certainly be ready for the paparazzi waiting for them when they landed

Fashion-forward jetset crowd: The models strutted their stuff with wheelie suitcases, carry-ons and a variety of other unique accessories

Blue steel: Many of the models kept incredibly straight faces while walking down the runway

Checking any bags? Some of the models engaged in conversation with the check-in attendants

They’ve arrived: The room was filled with chairs similar to those found at an airport gate, but we’d bet the lucky men and women sitting in those seats were much more entertained than those at an airport

Always a good show: Karl is known for his themed shows, and in the past has staged runways set up to look like grocery stores and feminist protests

Kendall only made her runway debut in early 2014, but she’s already one of the most popular choices for some of the biggest designers.

She first walked for Chanel in March 2014, after having already seriously impressed at that Paris Fashion Week, having made her debuts with Givenchy and Marc Jacobs.

Earlier this year, the stunner was also unveiled as the face of a Karl Lagerfeld campaign, her debut for the modern design icon.

Proud mother Kris Jenner was, of course, out on Tuesday to support her daughter Kendall as she prepared to walk the runway.

Under watchful eyes: Kendall didn’t put a foot wrong as the fash pack, including Anna Wintour and Mario Testino (R) looked on

Ready for the runway: Designer Karl Lagerfeld transformed Paris’ Grand Palais into a mini airport, complete with mock check-in areas and baggage belts

Supportive! Kris Jenner was one of the first to arrive at the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday, along with boyfriend Corey Gamble, to support her model daughter Kendall

All aboard! Kris gushed her excitement to see her 19-year-old daughter Kendall walk in the show, as she showed off the official invite while boasting she was a ‘proud mama’

Chic momager: Kris got into the swing of things, taking inspiration from the German-born designer himself in a military style coat

Making an entrance: Kris donned her favourite look of head-to-toe black, teaming skin-tight black leggings with flat lace-up boots to add a casual vibe

Dressed down: Meanwhile, Justin Bieber’s road manager Corey kept things simple in a grey coat and black trousers

Loved-up: Cara seemed smitten with girlfriend St. Vincent as she rested her head on her shoulder whilst taking photos of the show

Smitten: Once the show was over, the fashionista was seen putting a protective hand on her girlfriend’s arm as they raised from their seats and mingled with the rest of the audience

Showing her support: Despite not walking in the show, Cara was still a big part of the event as she later joined Karl on the runway

Taking a seat: Kendall enjoyed a brief catch up with Lagerfeld’s other muse Cara and her girlfriend St. Vincent (R)

Passing on the baton: Paper Towns actress Cara is currently focusing on her film career and was happy to watch Kendall take centre stage

Sharing the joke! Cara appeared to find something funny as she pointed and laughed during the show, chatting to young Hudson Kroenig, the son of Karl’s model muse Brad Kroenig

Good friends: Cara planted a peck on Karl’s cheek as he shared a hug with his muse following the big event

Wearing the designer! The model teamed the sports luxe style with black and white patent Chanel boots

The 59-year-old head of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians clan looked as chic as one could be for such an early start, at the French capital’s Grand Palais.

Joined by her toyboy partner Corey Gamble, 34, the stylish star wore her favourite look of head-to-toe black, teaming skin-tight black leggings with flat lace-up boots to add a casual, nonchalant vibe to her front row attire.

And she hinted at the upcoming winter season with a gorgeous black coat, expertly tailored and with a fine glittering gold trim around the edges, worn over a poloneck sweater.

The ‘Momager’ shared her excitement before the show, sharing a picture of the official invite, writing: ‘Getting ready to fly off to the Chanel Show to watch @kendalljenner on the runway!!! Good thing I was a flight attendant @chanelofficial @karllagerfeld #proudmama #soexcited #pfw2015.’

All eyes on her! Cara proved she isn’t afraid to be the centre of attention as she laughed and joked with Karl and Hudson in front of the audience

Daring: The model-turned-actress looked just inches away from a wardrobe malfunction in her short design, but was a total pro and managed to keep her poise

Getting involved: The model played around on the Chanel set which was an exact replica for a major airport

Nice to see you again! Cara shook fashion legend Anna Wintour’s hand as she mingled with the crowd

Protective: The down-to-earth star kept a watchful eye on the youngster, who looked adorable in his smart suit

Ushered in: Cara was given a helping hand into the venue to prevent her from being mobbed by excited fans

Meanwhile, Kendall’s gal pal Cara was also on hand to support, despite not walking in the SS16 show herself.

The Paper Towns actress maintained her relaxed, yet fashion-forward, style in a cropped blue quilted jacket and thigh-skimming T-shirt dress as she joined her girlfriend St. Vincent.

Sitting front row, the British beauty sustained her quirky demeanor as she played around with young Hudson Kroenig – the son of Karl’s model muse Brad Kroenig – and pulled a series of jokey facial expressions from her seat.

Cara seemed smitten with the Digital Witness singer as she gently rested her head on her shoulder whilst taking pictures of the show.

FROW fashion: Vanessa Paradis was joined by her lookalike daughter Lily-Rose Depp (R) and graphic designer Jean Paul Goude (C)

Pop of colour: Lily-Rose, 16, matched her strapless bustier top with a bright red scarf knotted around her neck

Setting the scene: The trio drew the attention of fashion insiders and journalists as they perched on the front row

Getting the giggles: The trio shared a joke as they perched on the airport-inspired benches, waiting for the show to start

Young muse: Johnny Depp’s teenage daughter previously walked for Karl in his Haute Couture show this summer

Checking in for the long-haul: The Joe Le Taxi hit-maker struck a pose alongside the fake airline staff hired by theatrical mastermind Karl

Timeless beauty: Johnny Depp’s former partner Vanessa kept her look classic with a rock star twist, mixing leather and bright blue

Lily Rose Depp, a Chanel muse, was joined by her mother, singer and model Vanessa Paradis, the two of them looking like true doppelgangers as they arrived together, and then firmly placed themselves on the front row.

The teen, who has also previously walked the runway in a Chanel Haute Couture show, looked every-inch the off-duty model as she posed in the transformed Grand Palais.

She donned a pair of straight-cut pale blue denim jeans with a fun multi-coloured bandeau top, showing off her slim arms.

Adding a modern vibe to her attire, Johnny Depp’s daughter wore a thick red choker around her neck, finishing her carefree attire with a pair of towering black heels with a peep toe and ankle strap.

Perfectly put-together: Tennis ace Maria Sharapova jazzed up her Chanel knitted dress with a brown hat and matching belt

He’s in style! Formula One pro Lewis Hamilton showcased his fashion credentials in a sportswear meets high fashion look

Tuxedo with a twist: Singer Janelle Monae put her fellow show-goers to shame in a cool, tuxedo inspired dress in her signature black and white staples

Pretty in pink: Skins star Kaya Scodelario opted for a classic Chanel dress with a purple trim and colourful shoulder bag

Model behaviour: Laura Bailey (L) was the picture of low-key cool, while Liu Wen (R) upped the glamour with a tweed coat

Ruling the roost: VOGUE guru Anna Wintour was naturally in attendance to give her expertise on the Spring/Summer 2016 collection

Taking pride of place: Esteemed fashion photographer Mario Testino joined fashion editor Anna and sports star Maria

Blonde beauties: Actress Annabelle Wallis (L) opted for a classic shirtdress while French star Cecile Cassel (R) chose to highlight her legs in leather chaps

Straight off the catwalk: Singer Petite Meller looked more like she was part of the show than a guest at the event

Hi there! Anna was accosted by a journalist dressed like a runway-ready Batman, and seemed a little surprised

Her mother, meanwhile, exuded true Parisian chic in her super-classy ensemble at the Chanel show.

The 42-year-old teamed a classic black leather pencil skirt with a simple top in the same shade, while adding a pop of colour with a vibrant turquoise blazer, paired with a knotted gold necklace and a tiny Chanel clutch bag.

As ever, Lagerfeld’s Chanel show on Tuesday was a spectacle to behold.

The French fashion house’s latest extravaganza saw the iconic Grand Palais transformed into a super-chic and crisp white airport terminal to go along with the theme: Chanel Airlines.

Main man: Designer Karl Lagerfeld received a warm welcome from the fashion pack as he emerged to take his bow

Tweed with a twist: Models, including Edie Campbell (R), donned modern takes on the classic Chanel material

Ladylike twist: Models wore headbands and demure bags in keeping with fashion house founder Coco Chanel’s aesthetic

Take a bow: The legendary designer was perfectly composed as he strode out onto the floor to enjoy his moment in the spotlight

Making his mark: Karl caught up with his famous guests after the show as he chatted to journalists about his new ready-to-wear collection

Two of a kind: Lewis is a snappy dress much like the designer himself, so the pair no doubt had plenty to talk about

Friends in high places: Young Russian socialite Alexandra Strizhenova posed with the fashion maven

There were check-in kiosks, complete with Chanel employees seated behind them in appropriate airline attire, as well as handsome male models clad as ticketing agents and luggage trolleys.

The overall effect was impressive, a grand sweeping shiny white floored runway, a far grander version than any existing terminal, but for the historic brand, it was perfect.

In recent years, the Chanel shows have been just as luxuriously styled, all for the purpose of sartorial storytelling, with set designs including a wild floral garden, a supermarket and a casino.

Models were clad in ready-to-wear items that were instantly recognisable as Chanel items, with chic tweed suits updated accordingly in muted tones and primary colours.

Others were seen wearing chic monochrome numbers in varying textures, including PVC and sheer ruffles, and typically ladylike designs with avant-garde twists.

Voluminous shapes, perspex shoes and a large array of girlish bows were also included in the new season style-fest.

Epic display: The overall effect was incredible, and typical of the fashion house’s stylised shows

Huge success: The theatrical extravaganza of the Chanel show always draws a sizable crowd to the shows

Making her grand arrival: Kendall turned up at the Grand Palais in a pinstriped crop top and matching tailored trousers

No stress: The 19-year-old stunner seemed confident and relaxed, showing no trace of nerves before taking to the catwalk

Hand-in-hand: Cara showed her close friend Kendall some support as they arrived at the venue ahead of the show

So much skin! Keen to flash the flesh, Kendall highlighted her toned torso in a cut-out jumpsuit

Strength to strength: St. Vincent is thought to have been dating Cara since the summer of 2014, and the pair have only made their romance more public in recent months

Keeping close: Both sporting sheer looks that meant their black bras were clearly visible, Cara and St. Vincent left the show hand-in-hand
