Comedian Tom Green has played kooky characters in movies like “Freddy Got Fingered” and “Road Trip,” as well as been an iconic MTV personality. Now he is taking it live on tour, and Fargo is one of his stops!
Green just finished his third season of the show “Tom Green Live” in 2014, with a one-hour comedy special on Netflix by the same name. He has guest-hosted “The Late Show with David Letterman,” and has his own web show “Tom Green’s House Tonight.”
This show is for mature audiences only. Tickets will go on sale on June 12 for $29.50.

Top quality reef and reptile vendors will be making the trip on September 26th 2015 to bring the tropical reef, exotic rainforest and hot desert to Fargo. They will be converging from all different directions: Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and even Georgia! Rarely seen tropical reef corals, fish, and other saltwater livestock along with the latest technologies in LED reef lighting and support equipment will be available. Captive bred reptiles and snakes of many varieties as well as new and innovative equipment to keep them happy will also be readily available. Many great products from our sponsors and vendors will also be available to take home as part of the charity drawing.
Red River Reef and Reptile Expo 2015 will be held at the Fargo Baymont Inn and Suites located at 3333 13th Ave S, a few blocks East of the West Acres Mall in Fargo on Saturday, September 26th from 10:00 am to 5:00 PM. Red River Valley Reefers (RRVR) is the local reef hobbyist club serving the Red River Valley area of North Dakota and Minnesota. It focuses on sharing information about the saltwater reef aquarium hobby in an effort to improve member success in the hobby and promote education, conservation and captive propagation.

The dog days of summer are here, and Scheels Home & Hardware is heating up its grills and competitive spirit for the 4th Annual Scheels ND BBQ Championship.
On Saturday, September 26th at Scheels Home & Hardware on 13th Ave. S. in Fargo, local and regional contestants will have the opportunity to show off their savory, slow-cooked skills and compete in four different categories: BBQ’d ribs, pulled pork, chicken and brisket. After sampling, outstanding BBQ’ers from each category and a People’s Choice winner will be crowned. Combined scores from all four categories will be used to determine an overall Grand Champion. $5,000 in prize money, bragging rights, and a shiny Scheels ND BBQ Championship trophy is up for grabs!
Spectators and BBQ connoisseurs are invited to sample and cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award for a $3 donation to local non-profit organizations and check out demos from Weber, Traeger and Big Green Egg. Plus, register to win a variety of door-prizes.

The competition will be overseen by Eric Berg and David Newman. Berg and Newman are professor and assistant professor, respectively, in NDSU’s Meat-Animal Science Department. The duo also organizes the popular BBQ Boot Camp, a program that teaches barbeque techniques in seminars hosted across the state.

The producers of the popular event, The Bacon & Beer Festival, together with The North Dakota Pork Council and Bernie’s are bringing to Fargo The Pig & The Pint, An Evening of Swine Dining. Six locally-owned restaurants will each be given one whole hog, one week to prepare it and assigned a local brewery to collaborate on culinary-creative suds and swine pairings.
The Pig & The Pint is a semi-formal evening of informal indulgence. Space is limited to ensure an intimate evening with local chefs, brew masters and an abundance of assorted suds and swine. The participating restaurants and breweries are Fargo Brewing Co., Drekker Brewing Co., Junkyard Brewing Co., HoDo, Toasted Frog, Usher’s House, Luna, Rustica and Monte’s. Further support is by Hatch Realty.
“We’ve had tremendously positive feedback from our Bacon and Beer Festivals,” Jade Nielsen of Jade Presents said. “We want to present the area with a new event that showcases the community’s unique talents in both the culinary and brewing worlds.”
