If liquid and your Mac have become BFFs, make sure to shut it down completely and unplug it. Bring it to Tekserve as fast as you can and we’ll get it through our Liquid Disaster Emergency Room and drying process right away.

Whatever you do, skip the hair dryer (it will melt your keys) or leaving the computer in rice (rice tends to get stuck in the openings). Get it to us and we’ll clean and assess your Mac properly. Many of our patients make a full recovery after a new part or two. Liquid cleaning service starts at $250.

If you’ve recently backed up your iPhone to iCloud or iTunes, you’ll be able to quickly restore it exactly as it was. If you backup with iTunes on your Mac or PC, please be sure to check “Encrypt local backup” so that your passwords and private information are also backed up. If you didn’t make a backup and are no longer able to, we can usually transfer your contacts, pictures, and some other data from your iPhone to a flash drive (usually within a 24-hour timeframe, additional charge), so you can restore it to your replacement iPhone.

Bring your computer or other data storage device to Tekserve for a free estimate. We have all the resources to get you back up and running again as quickly as possible. In addition to data recovery, we will:

Repair your recent Apple computer whether it is in or out of warranty; if it’s time to move on to a new machine, we’ll help you choose the right computer and transfer your recovered data to it.

Rent you a Mac or iPad to use during the recovery process for a flat fee.

Create a backup plan so that you’ll never need data recovery again.

Usually we’re able to recover all the data from your device. In rare cases, our technicians will be able to recover a portion of your data. If you are unsatisfied with the recovered data, there is no charge. If we are unable to recover any data, you will not be charged, and we can coordinate having your drive sent to a more intensive (and expensive) data recovery facility.

Our turnaround time for data recovery is typically two weeks. The majority of this time is digging deep into your data and can't be rushed, but if every second counts for your recovery, we do offer a rush option that gets your drive into the lab right away. Rush fees are not refundable.
