Welcome to the 53rd Edition of the Sunday Post!
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba @Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Basically it’s a chance to talk about the books you bought, borrowed, blogged about, and read for the week and what’s coming in the week ahead - and then share them with a much wider blogging community. Check out the details here.
The big event this week has been the air conditioning. We live in an apartment complex, which typically means something breaks, not your problem, right? Well, since my BF just so happens to be one of the maintenance guys, that’s not the case. In exchange for the fabulous deal we have on rent (and it is amazing) we have to take care of our own maintenance issues (with their supplies, so no cost just our labor). Well, the air has been acting up for a three weeks. But this week it got seriously bad and I’ve taken to sitting at my desk in just underwear and sports bra with a fan blowing on me when I’m home alone. I know, not the best picture, but you get how dire things have been. This is a complex wide problem, we think, but no one’s complaining, so that means we’re up a creek without a paddle. Or air. Finally Saturday – since the BF was off work – we spent a good part of the day trying different solutions. The one that worked? Getting a window unit from my BF’s brother-in-law. The apartment is still cooling down, but if I get too hot, I can go stand in front of the thing. My dog has taken to sitting right in front of it. I think it’s Buffy’s new favorite spot
Other than that, nothing too major going on. Hope y’all had a great week!

LitRate
And then there’s LitRate!! Funding is moving along pretty well – but it is behind I was so excited before, but after reading the Twitter Chat (if you missed it here’s a summary post) I’m going to be devestated if this thing doesn’t happen. Please spread the word, donate, do whatever you can to help make this a reality. I noticed that they’ve added a pledge reward for Publishers at the $1,500 level – so those bloggers out there that are way more connected than I am (IDK if any of you really know publishers, I sure as heck don’t) this is something to share with them Here’s a couple more posts about the greatness of LitRate that came out this week too!
