Distinguished Alumni Awards to be presented on February 5, 2015.

On Thursday, February 5, 2015, Fanshawe College President Peter Devlin and Gail Malcolm,
President of the Fanshawe College Alumni Association, will host the twenty-third
Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony at the President's Dinner.

Fanshawe will celebrate the significant contributions of six graduates who have
established a legacy of excellence in their workplace, their communities and their lives.

The College will also present an Honorary Alumni Award.

Health Sciences: Henrietta Van hulle

Executive Director, Health and Community Services, Public Services Health and Safety
Association
(Graduated: Registered Nurse, Nursing, 1984 and Occupational Health Nursing, 2005.)

Henrietta Van hulle has spent more than 30 years working in the health care field,
building a reputation of expertise and professionalism. She began her career as a nurse at
Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital caring for patients for 17 years. A deep-rooted
commitment and passion for improving the health and safety of those working in the health
and community care sectors saw Henrietta move into the occupational health and safety
field with a focus on infection prevention and control, workplace violence prevention and
disability management.

Henrietta a Canadian Nurses Association certification in Occupational Health Nursing
and is a member of the London District Occupational Health Nurses Association and the
Ontario Occupational Health Nurses Association. She actively advocates for healthcare
workers by sitting on many provincial committees with the Ministry of Labour and Ministry
of Health and Long-Term Care.

Henrietta has spoken on the subject of disability management, workplace violence
prevention, bullying and healthy work environments at provincial, national and
international conferences.

Community Service: Karen Keyes

Director of Client Services, DeafBlind Ontario Services
(Graduated: Developmental Services Worker, 1991)

A world of darkness and silence can be a lonely place. Karen has chosen a career path
that focuses on serving the diverse needs of people who find themselves in this situation.
During a career spanning more than 20 years with DeafBlind Ontario Services, Karen has
committed herself to making a profound impact on those living with deafblindness. Over
that time she has served as an intervenor – the 'eyes' and 'ears' for people who are
deafblind – team leader, manager and now Director of Client Services. Whatever her role,
Karen has always thought of her clients and their needs first.

DeafBlind Ontario Services believes that with a helping hand and supportive touch,
individuals who are deafblind can increase their independence on their own terms. Karen
has taken this to heart. Along with her client services responsibilities, she has led
teams implementing several community-based programs including: a customized training
program for organizations that support individuals with sensory loss and communication
challenges; Sensory Exploration Arts, a visual arts program that promotes artistic
expression by individuals with sensory impairments; and Tremplin, a community program for
Francophone individuals who are deafblind.

Recent Graduate: Larry Lau

Partner, ATMOS Marketing

(Graduated: Marketing Management, 2010)

As Partner of ATMOS Marketing, the London- and Toronto-based award-winning digital
marketing agency, Larry works with well-known local businesses and high-profile national
brands throughout Canada and the United States.

A true entrepreneur, he is also Partner/Co-Founder of other thriving startups including
Pulp & Press Juice Co. and Doppler.

Over the years, Larry has shared his expertise by teaching digital marketing courses at
both Fanshawe College and Western University.

He sits on the Program Advisory Committee for Fanshawe's Entrepreneurship program and
mentors an Entrepreneurship student through the College's Larry Myny Mentorship program.

He also serves on the Board of Director for the London chapter of the Chinese-Canadian
National Council and the Jays Care Young Professionals Committee.

Creative Arts and Design: Trevor Morris

Composer, Trevor Morris Music, LTD.

(Graduated: Music Industry Arts, 1999)

After graduating top of his class, Trevor moved to Toronto where he spent his 20s in the
city's music production circles working with all the top studio and production companies.
Wanting a longer format to express his musical creativity, he made the most dramatic and
impactful choice of his career – moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career composing scores
for films and television.

As Trevor's own composition career developed, so did the opportunity to directly
collaborate with some of the industry's top names like Jerry Bruckheimer, Neil Jordan and
Tony and Ridley Scott. He has won two Emmy awards and two Gemini awards for his
compositions on the television productions The Tudors, The Borgias,
The Pillars of the Earth and, his largest film to date, Immortals
which has passed the $200-million
mark worldwide.

Trevor is currently working on the Antoine Fugua feature Olympus Has Fallen
starring
Gerard Butler and Morgan Freeman. This action thriller is set for release in March 2015.

Distinguished Alumni Award –
Technology: Paul Noakes

Owner/Driver – Paul Noakes Racing

(Graduated: Motor Vehicle Mechanic, 1987)

Paul Noakes knows cars. He was immersed in them from an early age, with his father
beginning to take him to the race track when he was just a baby. After obtaining his
professional "Top Alcohol Funny Car" drag racing license at age 18, he has never looked
back. In 2007, Paul won the Canadian Drag Race Driver of the Year Award.

Paul competes in the prestigious National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) drag racing series
(broadcast on ESPN2). He has a license to race in Pro-Modified, Top Dragster and recently
obtained his license to drive in Top Fuel, the fastest category of drag racing with speeds
exceeding 310 mph.

With the support of his wife and family, Paul has combined a passion for professional drag
racing with a strong commitment to teaching automotive students at Saunders Secondary
School.

Paul wants to be a positive role model for all transportation technology students and uses
his racing career to help motivate and teach students – not only about the exciting world
of transportation technology, but also to never give up on pursuing their dreams.

Paul has passed on his racing legacy to his daughter Brooklyn. One of his proudest moments
was watching her race in her first junior dragster event last year at the age 9.

Honorary Alumni Award: John Loney

Head Coach, Fanshawe College Varsity Cross Country Team

The Honorary Alumni Award recognizes an individual who has achieved excellence in their
career and community life, and made a strong contribution to Fanshawe College and its
students.

John Loney has been making an impact on Fanshawe Athletics since 2004 as head coach of
men's and women's varsity cross-country team. Under John's leadership, the teams have won
six national championships, 11 provincial championships, 20 Canadian Collegiate Athletic
Association (CCAA) individual and team medals and 29 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association
(OCAA) individual and team medals. He has also been named CCAA and OCAA Coach of the Year.

On a personal level, John has represented Canada at international track and field,
triathlon and duathlon competitions. He won a silver medal at the World Duathlon
Championships in Spain and has twice been named Canadian Duathlete of the Year. He
continues to compete nationally as a Masters runner and is co-record holder of the
Canadian Masters 4x800m relay record.

John's goal is to see each athlete reach their full potential and create their own
memorable moment in sport.

Distinguished Alumni Award –
Business: Tony Boyle

Founder, President and CEO, HRdownloads.com

(Graduated: Web Design and Digital Imaging Animation Technology, 2002)

The founder and CEO of London-based HRdownloads Inc., Anthony Boyle was driven to
create his company by a determination to provide a resource for all businesses to have one
point of access for their human resources needs.

HRdownloads Inc. helps small and large teams and businesses with everything from day-to-
day administration to large scale, strategic issues. His innovative way of utilizing a

business – no matter the size, location or industry – has revolutionized how human
