John Doe was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. After graduating from high school, he went on to the University of Virginia. He graduated from UVA with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, John attended Marine Combat Training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune and then the Data Network Specialist Course at the Marine Corps Communication Electronics School. Afterwards, he was assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion 8th Marines. In his capacity as a data network specialist, John was responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining network services, including both hardware and software. He also planned and executed the integration of multiple information systems in network environments, evaluated and resolved customer information system problems, and effected required hardware upgrades and repairs to maintain mission capability. John left the Marine Corps after four years of service. Soon after, he was hired by a Richmond-based information technology consulting firm as a computer programmer responsible for writing codes to create software programs and turning the program designs created by software developers and engineers into instructions that computers could follow. John later became a computer systems analyst responsible for studying clients' computer systems and procedures and making recommendations to management to help clients operate more efficiently and effectively.

Sean left the Navy after eight years of distinguished service. He then moved to Washington, D.C. and applied to join the Diplomatic Security Service within the United States Department of State. After successfully passing the application process, Sean went on to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. Upon completion of Diplomatic Security Training, he was sworn in as a Special Agent and assigned to the Los Angeles Field Office. A couple of years later, Sean was posted to the Regional Security Office at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. There, he served as an assistant regional security officer. At some point, Sean's exemplary work as a detail leader for security details caught the attention of a few high-level State Department officials. Soon after, he was contacted by the director of the Department of State's newly-established Office of Special Investigative Assistance with an offer of employment.

The OSIA is a police and intelligence liaison unit created to react to the current most imminent international terrorist threats to U.S. security. It represents the collective intelligence capability and full muscle of the United States government to help neutralize and prevent terrorist actions against U.S. interests on a global level. The overt mission of the Office of Special Investigative Assistance is to assist foreign police, military, and intelligence agencies in helping prevent terrorist attacks against Americans and American interests abroad. Its little-known existence hides the covert mission of the unit, which is to combat the international terrorist threat against America by using the terrorists' own tactics against them.

Sean accepted the job offer and joined the Office of Special Investigative Assistance. The benign title leads people to believe that he works in the field, assisting foreign governments and law enforcement agencies in their counterterrorism efforts. That, after all, is the express mission statement of the OSIA. In reality, Sean is a very secretive dog of war to be unleashed upon the enemies of the United States to help prevent any future terrorist attacks on America. His goal is to level the playing field with international terrorists through one simple mandate -- as long as the terrorists refuse to play by any rules, he won't either.

Simply put, Sean's job is to hunt down terrorists and neutralize them by any means necessary. Much of his work is unofficial and "off the books." This includes covert and clandestine assignments wherein Sean operates independent of the U.S. national security apparatus and can therefore disregard impediments such as the executive order banning assassinations. As a premier counterterrorism agent, Special Agent Sean Blackston has helped save the United States from devastating terrorist attacks on many occasions.
