Victor Technologies (St. Louis, MO) launched a full series of Tweco® Classic MIG guns. An enhancement of the legendary Tweco numbered series, the new Tweco Classic guns include higher impact resistant materials, an interlocking handle design for superior toughness, an angled trigger for a more comfortable pull and refined, modernized lines.
“I like the Tweco Classic handle because it’s flatter,” says Jeremy Holloway, a welder/fitter with Bellingham Metal Works (Bellingham, MA). “With skinny handles you have to squeeze a lot more - it puts a lot of stress on your hand. This gun is nice because you barely have to move your finger to pull the trigger.”
BMW project manager Robert Stow, Jr. also likes the heavy-duty construction of these MIG guns. “The Tweco guns are excellent for our shop,” says Stow.“Our guys are pretty rough on the equipment, and Tweco guns stand up. They’re very durable. I’m only going to make money in this company if we’re producing parts.”

In addition to the Tweco Classic 4 MIG gun introduced earlier this year, additional new air-cooled guns include the Tweco Classic No. 1 (rated at 180 amps @ 60 percent duty cycle), Tweco Classic No. 2 (rated at 200 amps @ 60 percent duty cycle), the Tweco Classic No. 3 (300 amps @ 60 percent duty cycle), the Tweco Classic No. 5 (500 amps @ 60 percent duty cycle) and the Tweco Classic No. 6 (600 amps @ 60 percent duty cycle).
