Christopher Nolan’s take on Batman was an instant classic. Followed by The Dark Knight, one of the few sequels to be equally as good, if not better than it’s predecessor, the story of Batman was taken to new highs and lows never seen before on film. Though the final film in the trilogy left a lot to be desired it was still vastly superior to most-I’m looking at you Spider-Man 3. Even with some of the worst fight choreography in the history of cinema, the Dark Knight Rises capped off an amazing adventure.
Since Batman Begins release in 2005 Hot Toys has been bringing us top quality figures and vehicles based on the series. Along with the Iron Man license some might fault Hot Toys for milking the Dark Knight franchise, with various remakes of certain figures, whilst neglecting other licenses teased but yet to be delivered, i.e. Prometheus, X-Men First Class and Batman Returns to name a few.
However, if you are a completest, or simply missed out on a figure the first time around, being able to pick up a new and improved version of any figure is a dream come true. With the upcoming release of the Batman Armory Hot Toys is not only giving fans an updated version of Batman, but a complete, suited Bruce Wayne and for the very first time an Alfred Pennyworth as portrayed by the great Sir Michael Caine.
Various customizers have produced both figures as well as an armory for premium prices, but to have an official release is something fans have been waiting for.
